Some people make one skin and then make it again in a different skin tone because it was requested. I've personally requested looks I liked to be made on darker or lighter skin tones. Not everybody doing it, is just being lazy.
I like this look a lot. The skin tone is darker than most gothic skin tones, so it looks more realistic. This is what a gothy girl actually looks like. The white most people use looks fake. I have seen some people paint themselves that white but even if you avoid the sun for years you still have more color than that.
