Works fine for me. You need to place each car on a certain furniture node in one of the yellow-lined parking spaces at the start of the track, and then once you've got the cars in their positions, get in the drivers' seat of one of the cars and click "run" on the menu that appears on the left of the screen. You might have trouble with starting the race from one of the parking spaces or one of the cars... I don't know, I haven't tried every combination yet... for example, attempting to start the race while sitting in the yellow lambo placed in the second parking space works every time for me, but when I try starting the race while sitting in the black car placed in the first parking space, the start of the race just loops a few times and the cars don't go anywhere. So, don't give up right away, try moving the cars into different spots and starting the race from each of the different cars if the others don't work right for you... one of the combinations ought to work.
