IMVU have been found guilty of child safety neglect by allowing porn and indecent child s.e.x images upon their servers. Also IMVU do nothing to prevent the content including ufi sexual content in products to go through to the GA catalog.
Given IMVU hosts kids as young as 13 and younger have often been found on imvu and given Cara has said the following on a forum posting:

i have this friend who convinced me to join imvu a while ago and i recently found out her 13 year old sister has an imvu account
not only does she claim shes 19 (shes not) but she also has ap (which she bragged to me about getting someone to buy it for her)
ive reported people before for lying about their age but nothing ever seemed to happen
if i report her will imvu even do anything?
i mean this CHILD is cybering online i know because ive seen her do it
what do i do?
if staff wont do anything then whats there for me to do?

We as a team have continued for months to convey the message of safety to IMVU with little effect.
We suspect it is because imvu places profits and revenue before the safety of it's users.
IMVU knows that it only takes 6 votes to pass Peer Review and they just submit it until their ufi sexual product passes.
Yet still like the porn images on profiles and in rooms, IMVU does nothing to prevent this.
Imagine it like this, because this is how I see IMVU.
You have a garden shed with a lawnmower in it, and a padlock.
It gets stolen, now most of us would do what, but another lawmower and increase the security, camera, lights that come on, bigger better padlock.
In IMVU's case, they just replace the broken padlock with another similar one, and they continue to do this many many many times.
The people stealing it, laugh and so see it as a green light therefore to go ahead and steal the newly replaced lawmower.
To you and me, it makes absolutely no sense and if anything absolute madness.
WHO CARES, why should it matter.

A 16-year-old Kalispell youth pleaded guilty to felony charges of sexual intercourse without consent Thursday in Flathead District Court before Judge David Ortley.
According to the terms of his plea deal, Jacob Dalager may be sentenced with 20 years in prison, all of it suspended except the time from sentencing until he turns 18 years old.
If the judge chooses not to follow the recommendation of the plea deal, Dalager could face up to 100 years in prison due to the fact that the victim was less than 16 at the time of the offense and he was more than four years older than the victim. The victim in the case was 6 years old.

Still who cares eh, become natural in a few years thanks to net sites like this allowing the sexual content to go unattended.

So as you can see from above, there is a danger indeed if we allow and sadly already happening, our young, next generation to become, well, you know.......
What's more repeat offenders are allowed to remain time and time again, to break imvu's TOS, WHY?
Good question, money, who knows, lack of communication, because in our experience in years on here, seems some staff do care and act, while others just whistle dixey it seems.
So unless you kick up a fuss, stop supporting IMVU until it cleans up it's act, as of today, up until today, I can swear the above is true, lets hope it is not in the future, lets hope those of you reading this in a years time are not put off coming here and allowing your own children on, but, BUT if the past few years are anything to go by, I truly sadly fear the worst.

Did you know, only takes 6-0 to pass, if you are the 7th it does not count.
So fails if okay and someone gets in first 5-1, equally impossible to stop are bad ufi stuff because they submit it again and again until it gets the first 6-0 needed, if you are the 7th 6-1 it says incorrect vote for you, totally flawed eh.
Often it ends up 33-3 or 25-1, all over those first 6 votes do not count, wasted votes.
