Okay, Well I finally have a mesh for hairstyles. Very Happy It's just the baby hair strands. I'm pretty decent at making some but I could use a few pointers. How do people get the detailed designs I seem to struggle at? Of course I'm going to keep practicing but I could use any tips! Thanks in advance. (Gimp user speaking). Rolling Eyes Guess I should be clear that I want to make my own.

On the first page of this forum you find thread about this subject. Why not check that first? Many tips and good answers.

Its a good idea to check the first two pages anyway before starting a new thread.

The quality of your babyhair can depend on the mesh you have. There are a lot of badly mapped ones out there that are barely an improvement on the default scalp mesh.

Not everyone over prices them, plus it depends on the amount of instruction and support that comes with it.

the babyhair

I'm talking about making add on babyhair for hairstyles. Not creating a mesh for it if that's what you thought I meant. I already have a mesh it's just making the babyhair designs I see a lot in shop.

A lot of us use add-on meshes. Like add our baby hair mesh. So Maps vary there. You can draw your own opacity map that works with whatever baby hair/edges mesh you're using buy adding more white strands to fulfill whatever look you're going for.

I know what you mean and I have tried adding more white strands but at the end it always ends up looking not as how I expected it. Like for a example, a design like this: https://gyazo.com/9db16d37e97e0a99179cc5fde47fd9f9 or this https://gyazo.com/e2c9629c0fc7cd3d4f4c27600886973c , I'd be clueless on where to start. But thanks for responding.x

No problem, and those are nice i'd say play around and add like just random shapes so you can see where those things are. Then draw your map off of that.
