This isn't a plugin for another program, this is a standalone application (source provided for gamemaker 5 or 7) that allows you to manipulate the skeleton file and create an XAF file that can be added to furniture.

The controls are crude at present, I've tried to explain more on the page but quite simply I only know how to apply a bend, I can't predict how the skeleton will react yet.

The text file is needed as my code can't read XSF files.

There's a small amount of help available if you press F1.

For some reason when I try to download it, it takes me to an unrelated page? Any ideas ?

Darn your right I'm getting some screwy redirect on my site.
I'll look into that, it's something to do with how my hosting's set up.

Looks like my Boristheengineer site's picking up settings from my home site which has a bunch of redirects on it at present. Have to fix that somehow...

Thanks for the new link and this tool. It is looking very promising. I did a small pose (just moved a couple of bones). The only think I can mention is that I thought I was moving the avatar's right leg, and it ended up being the left. I guess I better read which bones I am moving Embarassed

Thanks again!

I haven't tried poses yet at all. I'm gonna give this a shot, and provide some feedback on how easy it is if you want.

I worked with this a little more tonight, and moved more bones, and everything seems to work great. It will take some working with to get used to the controls, but I feel it is a great alternative to a more expensive program for some. Plus it does not take up the resources. Going to work a little more with it as time permits. This is what I came up with in about 2 minutes (I know, it shows how long I took on it!) I call it Olympic Runner with twisted ankle Laughing

Thanks again!!!

olympic runner with a twisted ankle? LMAO!! ahh but that's pretty darned good for 2 minutes

p.s. i'd love to showyou what i made, but i haven't the slightest clue how to add it to any of my meshes or make just a pose spot LOL!

oh and suggestions for improvement is a zoom option. that might make the finger bones easier to see and rotate. but yeah it's all pretty simple and straight forward! great job!

Its a start.

I'd advise not trying to edit the finger positions with the program as it stands. The joints of the fingers don't seem to align with any of the rotation axes I've set up so using the controls as they stand its likely to end up deformed.

I need to figure out a way to calculate which way the finger should bend.

heh if i could manipulate the fingers i'd probably make an AP pose right now. but really it's not just a start hun, it's an amazing start! this could really help a lot of people out. i for one could use it to add poses to my furniture ^^

I don't think I'll be doing an update tonight, but if anyone wants to discuss it I'll hang out in my public room for a while.

One thing I'd like to know is how many of you would be happy to install Gamemaker, as I'd then only need to post the GMD file which is about 80k compared to 1.5Megs for the executable.

Gamemaker has a notoriously big runtime.

Also does anyone need help on actually attaching the pose to a product?

drag neo1471 in here. we can't do poses in sketchup - this may be a way around that.

i could really use a tutorial on that yeah. i kind of searched around a bit yesterday, but didn't see anything but triggered pose tut.

as for downloading gamemaker i don't know. if you decided to do it though i would download it because i really like the idea of being able to do poses without 3ds max. lol

Regarding Sketchup:

It should work provided you can alter the seat's stance name, from Standing or Sitting to...say seat01.Mypose

Then in animations you'd create a trigger called Stance.Mypose, set "Ensembles played" to 0 (play forever) and load in the XAF file.
