The Soapbox
I thought I would tell you all how the Nut House got started since all of you are actually new to here. It started a few years ago on another site. I had started a thread about how I would be put in the nut house by time I was 30. Then it some how came to where I was the vampire queen and all these people were creatures seeking a place to stay, a place to call home. And there is where the roleplay began. I had never roleplayed before then so I really had no idea what I was doing but I am a writer so it wasnt so hard to learn. Much happened in the Nut Houses first home. And then it sort of died. I had to move it to another site with a few of the originals but it never got back to being as awesome as it was before. Then as it started to pick up the site it had been moved to was shut down. And the Nut House was shut down for a while. It was sad because the nut house had become my story. Then IMVU made this great invention of GROUPS and the Nut House was brought back from the dead. I invited people that were part of the original but as you can see they have all left as well. It seems that they have all changed and moved on. But I have a passion for my internet home, the home I see in my head. I know it sounds odd but it gives me a purpose to write. I have found tons of inspiration in this roleplay and I am grateful for those who have come in and made it great again. I hope that you all stay and keep the story going. I know the Nut House will never die in my heart. It is a part of who I am now and it has created what I am today. Which is odd but its true. Confidence and understanding has been gained through my role play. I hope that all of you find something positive here too. Know that I will always be here as the Nut House Queen and as a friend if you ever need advice or just someone to talk to. And even if I disappear for a few days know I will be back. Help: Holla Board
The Holla Board is a place where members can write short messages for everyone to see. It is a quick and fun way for people to catch up with each other in a group. Unlike the Discussion Board which follows a more traditional forum style exchange, the Holla Board emphasizes what is happening right now and right here in your group. For this reason, messages are limited to 100 characters, and only the most recent messages are displayed.
A "new" icon (
) appearing in front of a message indicates that the message was posted within the last
5 minutes.To see the date and time when a message was posted, move your mouse cursor over the message, and a tooltip will appear that shows you the post date and time of the message.
Please note that if your message is deemed unsuitable for the group, it may be deleted from the Holla Board.
To post a message, click on the "Post Message" link. Please note that only a subset of the message syntax is supported for messages. Please click on the "Syntax Help" button to find out more.

The Soapbox is a (small) platform for the group owner to deliver a message to all the group members. It is a quick one-way communication between the group owner and the group.
