Ur, the ancient city located between the Tigress and Euphrates rivers also known as Ur of Chaldees, rests on or about the site of the Garden of Eden. A place of tradition, honor, and respect it teaches U/us, among other things, the rewards of obedience and the consequences of failure. The ancient teachings so often lost today are alive and in good stead within the House of Ur. A place of learning, Ur exists to provoke thought and stimulate reflection. A/all who embrace or wish to learn of these ideals are welcome. Ridicule, scorn, and the like are dismissed out of hand. Respect and be respected. Honor and be honored. Love and be loved. LordOfShadowz be the Head of the House of Ur along with His Queen. W/we answer to no man but to the teachings and wisdom of great men throughout the ages. The path W/we follow is neither easy nor complex. It is a path of respect, of honor, of love, of devotion, of obedience, of learning, and of teaching. W/we reject myths and tales. W/we embrace the truths of history. W/we are selective in our M/members and gracious to O/our guests.

A time like this demands strong minds,

But real men, courageous, who flinch not at duty.
Men of dependable character;
Men of sterling worth;
Then wrongs will be redressed, and right will rule the earth.

Click on the link "View All Members" to view all members of the group.

The Holla Board is a place where members can write short messages for everyone to see. It is a quick and fun way for people to catch up with each other in a group. Unlike the Discussion Board which follows a more traditional forum style exchange, the Holla Board emphasizes what is happening right now and right here in your group. For this reason, messages are limited to 100 characters, and only the most recent messages are displayed.
A "new" icon (
) appearing in front of a message indicates that the message was posted within the last
5 minutes.To see the date and time when a message was posted, move your mouse cursor over the message, and a tooltip will appear that shows you the post date and time of the message.
Please note that if your message is deemed unsuitable for the group, it may be deleted from the Holla Board.
To post a message, click on the "Post Message" link. Please note that only a subset of the message syntax is supported for messages. Please click on the "Syntax Help" button to find out more.
