Hi, Welcome to our Group. Please make yourself at home, and join in, let us know you are here, introduce yourself in the Say Hi thread, or leave a message on the Holla Board. Looking forward to getting to know you.......
The only rules I think we need in a group such as this is: Respect others, and their viewpoints however diverse they may be.
And on an admin level, keep within the thread topics, please dont start a new thread for the same subject, as the merge thread facility for groups doesnt work, and I dont really want to delete peoples posts to keep it easy to read for everyone.
If you think your subject needs to be stickied, (which means it stays at the top of the list all the time), drop me a PM to my homepage, before your post and I can create you a sticky thread, because I cant change it to sticky after it is created
For people new to groups, use the holla board to post a quick hi, or to draw the groups attention to a message, basically to say anything.
There is a new thread for general day to day chat, called the SHMB Coffee lounge, so we can keep in touch even if we dont have much to talk about in the threads, looking forward to getting to know you all in there; and one thread to let off steam, if something is bugging you or winding you up.
Also a head count thread, just to see who is still around, if you are there, please post something there even if it is only a smiley, lets take this group to the next level.....

The Holla Board is a place where members can write short messages for everyone to see. It is a quick and fun way for people to catch up with each other in a group. Unlike the Discussion Board which follows a more traditional forum style exchange, the Holla Board emphasizes what is happening right now and right here in your group. For this reason, messages are limited to 100 characters, and only the most recent messages are displayed.
A "new" icon (
) appearing in front of a message indicates that the message was posted within the last
5 minutes.To see the date and time when a message was posted, move your mouse cursor over the message, and a tooltip will appear that shows you the post date and time of the message.
Please note that if your message is deemed unsuitable for the group, it may be deleted from the Holla Board.
To post a message, click on the "Post Message" link. Please note that only a subset of the message syntax is supported for messages. Please click on the "Syntax Help" button to find out more.
