In gothic London (the time, not the fashion craze), jewels are what defines you. Diamonds mean royalty, rubies define lords and ladies and class, sapphires are for those who have money by pure luck, and topaz are for the greedy who have no wealth. All other jewels are nonexistent here or exist only to accent those around them. Let the jewels that the Earth has so graciously placed upon the earth not be tainted by the mistakes of her womb. Tonight, we shall not be hindered by the outside world. We are the elite. Until the dawn breaks, may my paradise be yours.

Thank you again for accepting your invitation.
I'm so happy that this is getting underway and finally becoming, however slowly, the role play that I'd intended.
Post as often as possible. If you're part of the role play, your constant participation is needed to keep the flow of the fantasy smooth.
Pictures will be deleted. (If you want us to know what you look like, describe yourself as best as possible. Pictures just seem to ruin things for me.)
Proper grammar and punctuation is greatly appreciated. Spacing paragraphs as well so as to make your post easier to read by other players.
If any mature content is to be posted, please, place a warning in bold letters at the beginning of said post. I have no qualms with it personally, but some others might.
The plot of the story has yet to be revealed yet and, in due time, the conflicting characters will be introduced to juice up the story, but for now, with new introductions and invitations still being sent out, we can not do much more than lose ourselves in the gaiety of the beginning of the ball, all pretending that something much more ominous is not lurking beneath the facade.
