IMVU has made it clear that no matter where or what you post will be ignored. So I will post my words again here, All of us here enjoying IMVU as a Choice of Chat Platform do understand that you Ultimately want the same with your customers doing so....NOT. With Mods that continually inform customers that no matter in the world they are located it is their internet service, computers and whatever else is the cause of the "Red Disconnected", the constant being kicked out of rooms (even their own), players and mixes not working; is somehow fault on their end. The World Wide Grid is down...not likely all over the world the true common source we all seem to have is IMVU Server. I along with many others look forward to a solution, and better Mods that are at the least not talking down to your customers as if they are truly so naive. All of the above is... has happened to me. I done all your suggestive help given to others, yet here I am writing to you to request a fix. Patches are not working for you or us. I will not speak on the losses of items or credits, Parties, Weddings and Special Events (I just did) customers have endured waiting for this to be the place it once was. Question... What good are all the hourly sales on all you offer if NO ONE CAN GET ON YOUR CLIENT TO ENJOY THEM? We deserve the respect of a real answer to our concerns, is that possible in the near future? Thank you

I don't think it's really fair when the blame is somehow trying to get placed solely upon the shoulders of IMVU. There can be many reasons why someone may not be able to connect to IMVU and they all don't revolve around the company having a server issue.

Perhaps the ISP is having an issue with communicating with IMVU and it's something on the ISP side. That's nothing IMVU can do about it, if they are sending out the information and the ISP is unable to do anything with it because of some reason.

Agrees....Yes, it's always easiest to push the guilt onto IMVU, but a fair amount of the time it's not their fault. Sure, servers crash, IMVU is still quite buggy....but ultimately some 'fixes' can be accomplished with users doing some simple upgrading on their own PC's. Graphic drivers and updating Flash are 2 of the most ignored upgrades a computer user can do....and both are as simple as downloading a file and clicking on install.

Other issues for instance, such as YouTube players no longer working.....that's not an IMVU issue at all. The blame isn't on IMVU or any product creator. YouTube changed their policies on who and what can stream their content.....then blocking those they no longer support. Again, this is by no means an IMVU issue or creator issue. It's solely on YouTube.

Now as for the music store and mixes not playing? That's been an issue for so long now it's not even funny. Most nights (knock on wood) MY mixes have played...but recently I've been having issues saving new ones. Most times I'll just try again later or the next night when it worked....simply chalking it up to a 'glitch'.

As IMVU enters into its 13th...14th year of being in business.....I can only say that they've never been a company big on listening to user complaints. This very suggestion forum is proof of that. THOUSANDS of suggestions and not ONE response from a staff member offering up a yay or nay to the topic. Even with all the bugs.....the biggest thing IMVU could do to improve their product would be to simply interact and communicate with their customers. For a company that has developed a fairly popular chat program, much of the Staff never cares to engage in chats with their customers...and that's a shame....they'd probably learn a LOT.

We are all free to our opinions.... I stated mine.. thank you for yours, but A mod should clearly be the one to answer my concerns. I still stand on that.

Why a Mod? They're just IMVU Users who volunteer to police the forums. They're not IMVU Staff or have any affiliation with them outside of the forum.

You posted feedback and suggestions in a forum designated to the topic of feedback and suggestions to IMVU....in a public forum of their members.

Just because the previous two responses don't 'side' with you, no one said your ideas were wrong or bad. I for one simply stated some things you could possibly try with upgrading your PC (for free). But if you're looking for IMVU Staff to respond to you, good luck....they NEVER address any issues out in the forums. And IF they do, they'll tell you to contact the help desk....which will tell you nothing you haven't heard before. (Dump your cache, uninstall/reinstall the client with the latest version, etc)

The thing is, some people have issues and some don't. Many may experience the same problems. If you've updated to the latest client version, then you need to go to the thread about those updates and report the problems you're having. View the comments users make about the updates before you update yours.

I have seen several people follow the instructions a Mod or other users offer and come back to inform them that it helped. For some it doesn't work. Just report the problem so imvu knows there might be a particular bug.

The mods are not responsible for what happens to your client. They moderate the forums. Some hold more knowledge about the technical side of the client, and they offer what help they can, but they are not the ones who fix the problems. It's not on their shoulders to do, nor are they paid for what they do. It's a voluntary 'job'.

I'm sorry you're having problems with the client. There are times I do as well. Sometimes you do need to clear your cache, even manually, to get a better use of the client. Sometimes you have to do that, then do a clean uninstall and reinstall. A moderator can't magically fix the problem many might experience. They can only offer advice.

DsRavenShadow it does seem like your internet maybe having issues , perhaps it is a combination of imvu and your net . Sorry to hear you are frustrated and I myself depending where I am using the net have had similar issues . All though this isn't speaking on all the issues you raised so . . I doubt you will ever get a reply from staff or to say even if so a satisfactory response and I hope someone that is a user not staff can help you fix some of those issues .

To Replies above - We often get caught up in the wording . . She definitely meant staff by the meaning of it . Which was pretty much her whole point of the complaint that no one is listening , otherwise she wouldn't even be here writing .

I agree with OP that most of the time they don't listen and turn a blind eye .
Also that IMVU doesn't think like a user nor listen to the users and does things for their own best interest not the peoples wishes . Which makes no sense whatsoever because without we the people they the imvu wouldn't or eventually won't exist . That in essence is the majority of the problem DsRavenShadow speaks of . Even when they do things and people complain they just let it ride til the complaints stop which many times they don't stop or actually fix the problem and we have 1000's of the same complaint in the forums . Which the forum isn't a very good representation of the actual total amount of people complaining as it has very few users in comparison to the total number of users and even less so the amount who actually take time to post . ALL of us users know the major issues as its one of the topics we talk to friends and strangers alike in chat . and then when the complaints stop or slow they ( imvu ) think everything is o k . . Yet is it o k ? Or are we facing an ever declining program in user base . . . due to imvu not listening or making things the way the users want it . The customer is ALWAYS right all though sometimes ill-informed which being un-informed is a major issue .

To imvu credit I can tell ya'll first hand they've fixed a couple issues in the past month or few which I wrote here about suggestions how to fix . so sometimes when it is an easy fix they do listen .

Now here is another point of listening . . If they listened and then replied with reasons they are doing things then perhaps there'd be a better understanding and communication to make it work better for everyone and not just imvu investor pockets . Yet they use generalities and baby talk and think everyone is just going to buy the headlines of " fake news " when most users of the forum anyway see right through it . ( remind ya of anything ? )

PS as for those imvu staff now reading this who won't reply - I know you are insulted by the " doesn't think like a user " , of course I know you all are users but you're users with privileges beyond the average user and simply because you think you know whats best for us doesn't make it justifiable .
For the absolute last time gather this information fix the problems then move on to the new fruitful to you ideas .

Thank You GuysBot... I do believe I stated IMVU... not Mods. ... Mods are our main source of conveying our complaints, and many go unanswered. If that is a insult... Truth Hurts. IMVU is not listening to the Mods and many feels Mods not listening to them. A forum is the place to express your opinion.. as you all above have done. Thank you for the input.

The miscommunication can easily cause misunderstandings. Certainly, you started with imvu, but throughout the rest of the post put the blame for lack of concern on the Mods. They do what they can, and many do offer help. They can't make imvu listen to them, and they certainly can't magically fix the client.

Thing is, quite a few have pointed out what the problem and solution could be, but you've completely ignored those only to reiterate that forums are for a place to express opinions. No one has argued that. At all.

No one argues that imvu doesn't listen. We've seen it for several years, especially over issues that are harmful to users. But we certainly don't blame the mods as they also know and have experienced the harmful effects.

Good luck with the client issues you deal with.
