I am sorry to say I simply do not like next. I'm not sure what I will do if the original version of the site ever goes away. I know you said the client is not going away but the website is what I am concerned with.

IMVU Next is counter-intuitive. It's aesthetically unappealing. It actually has almost an antiquated feel to it.

When we asked for a sent message folder you didn't give us what we asked for. Instead you gave us the "new messaging system" which looks like a low quality version of Facebook comments. All we wanted was a sent folder and we got a mimicking of another site instead and lost our public messages in the process...

And now many of us are waiting / dreading the day we lose the REAL IMVU site to... well... This disaster.

You could have implemented a lot of these features (entering chat rooms via the site, animated character emojis ) integrated into the original site with the familiar layout.

And now there's virtually no point in us having a default chat room because you changed how chat rooms work. We can't have multiple versions of the same room open for different chats. And I know why you did that. You were freeing server space... For this.

So to put it bluntly, I don't like this and many people have said the same and we fear the day you remove the "Classic site" and replace it with this aesthetically unappealing and counter intuitive version.

To me this is as bad an idea as when IMVU toyed with / "experimented" with making AP a monthly fee, or when you created "neighborhoods" based solely on stereotypes about sexual orientation, race, ect, or when you briefly renamed accessories "Bling"...

I don't mean to sound rude but as a long time member here I am legitimately concerned that IMVU might be making a mistake in pushing forward with Next.

I don't/will never use Next so I don't care how it looks, to me it's a lost cause but privacy is my biggest issue with it. I think it is ridiculous that it shows whatever you are currently wearing in the client to whoever looks at your profile.

There should be an opt out or a choice to show a default outfit.

The single most annoying thing for me regarding NEXT is the way it shows you as available.

This has been an issue since it was created. IMVU has been told a billion times...what have they done...ZILCH NADA NOTHING

I DO NOT use NEXT. I refuse to use it. I accidently clicked the games tab the other day and i was taken to NEXT. Not even logging out of my account and signing into my alt logged me off. I was signed into my alt and it showed SinfulBelle was online.

I had to delete my browser history for the past hour, to log off.


That is not acceptable......not by any stretch of the imagination

Major problem I have been seeing with feed/next, I am on the feed looking at recommended pics that are edited through photoshop or gimp and most times there is nudity in them. I try over and over to flag them but it keeps saying sorry it's not your fault please try again in a few moments. It refuses to allow me to flag the pics. Until you fix the flagging system on next / feed. You should not be allowing pictures to get uploaded through the next feature because alot I am seeing is nude pics I cant flag. Or train the people to better spot nude or ufi pics. Kinda bad when its been loaded up on recommended to say the least.

I was told that if you get that "It's not your fault, it's ours" message it means that someone else has already flagged the picture and it's in the queue to be reviewed. It would be nice to have a clarification on this.

I, too, have a major issue with this "glitch" which allows users to bypass the Terms of Service! They are taking pictures in their AP outfits (many times from the Shop using *hiresnobg snaps & not even purchasing the products in the pictures) and using Photo Booth to post not just nudity, but AP poses in the Stream. They also post sexually explicit pictures from other websites through Photo Booth.

Since the move to the Next Feed, this problem has only gotten worse and there is obviously NO increase in staff policing the Stream let alone handling the increase in flags. To top it off, the users who are being flagged almost always post an indigent "how dare they remove my picture" post even though they are noticed by IMVU that the reason is a Terms of Service violation Rolling Eyes

Bingo on the bolded/underlined bit, yup. While "hate" is a strong word, "loathe" would be my choice. Frankly, it's how many, many users (especially us frustrated vets) feel. Not many are willing to take the time to post in the forums (or even know the forums exist, for that matter).

Someone previously suggested two separate websites, Next for the non-artists/gamers/social butterflies & Old School (with some improvements) for the artistic/fashion/group users. Seems like this might be something to seriously consider. IMO, having the uber-beta Next forced upon those who strongly dislike it is probably the worst business decision IMVU has made since letting it loose on the public far too soon Confused

I would like to be able to see ALL of the products in the picture: Outfit, Furniture, Room, Enhancers etc, unless the user decides to hide them. This is very helpful for contests so we can show that we own all the products used, and helps ALL developers sell products. We make products...people buy credits...IMVU makes money. EVERYONE'S happy!

I want a much more user friendly option to see my own pictures without having to scroll through all my friends pics first. I do look at my friends pictures, but when I'm posting something in an art contest, it's no longer a nice, quick process.

The Mannequins gotta go! They're awful! You can't see the products...just blank foolishness. We take the time to make preview pics for our products. maybe you could find a way to use them?
