I have been making female skins and I have noticed some female meshes "double up" the belly buttons. My friend finds certain skins do this, some don't as much.

I know it is an issue with the mesh technically using a part of the "pelvis" mapping in the "torso" or vice-versa, but it seems so common, I thought I should build my skins to avoid the doubling.

I do not own enough female products to figure out the best position myself, but I would love if someone that is more experienced in female items/skins could show me a "prime location"?

Just a dot or some advice would really help a lot!

Can't show much of my template, but for the most part I place it right below the green line, (if you work with the keef's wireframes.)

I was trying to find some old meshes where this problem shows up(couldn't find any with double bellybutton), this is how my skin looks like, it is not seamless, but it does fixes your double belly button problem. It would be helpful if you link some meshes where that happens.

I wish I could remember what ones. I was in shop together with my friend and she noticed some of my skins did, some did not. I make a lot of ""Andro" ones too so I try to shape them to fit andro tops.

I will ask her if she can remember.

In terms of the template mapping itself, I have no clue. But instead an idea: With some trial and error, using a fairly popular piercing may be a working indicator. I use Ori's piercings with my own andro products [be it buying or making].

I have an example of what I mean:

https://snag.gy/I3Kysz.jpg

I found one of the bottoms my friend was trying on that causes the "double belly button".

There were a couple other things she tried on too, a pair of jeans etc.

It MAY be just this one mesh that had a lot of derives she happened to try on, but it was pretty annoying because she felt like she could not use that skin.

I usually like the navel up a little high to pull the hip bones up a bit higher for a more masculine look. Having it lower makes the hip bones wider and more feminine appearing.

Bit late to the party, but...

It looks to me like its just a conflict of meshs, so likely there isnt much you can do about it, since both the top and the bottom products are conflicting and 'fighting over' that space of texture on the skin, its unlikely it will be perfectly smooth, unless you use two products that are designed to fit their shapes.

EX - The Allure shape by Delure, all blend and fit eachother perfectly as opposed to using one of her tops and the RL bottoms by Siss3d, they will conflict and 'fight' over a small section of texture, and warp it no matter what.
