Please return to the old way of receiving messages. The new way is terrible, and you need to constantly be watching for any message. You should at the very least add a sound to let one know that a message is there. No one likes this and I am telling everyone I know to come here and voice complaints. Sad

This problem and more.... sometimes i never recieve the message and sometimes it's two days late (timestamped two days ago). And this is NOT an app it's regular computer access thru the client.

I actually have to disagree. You can choose whether or not to opt-in, and I've wanted some sort of notification area to streamline how everything is presented. If you want to stick with the old ways, that's fine, you're able to. Progress shouldn't be such a problem if it takes two clicks to revert it back to how it was before.

Yes you can opt out, however there is a flaw in it. If you choose to opt out you do not receive any notification of any kind that you have received a message and this is beyond irritating.
Progress is a good thing, if it is user friendly, in this case I fear I do not feel that it is all that user friendly. Advertisement of sales stay stuck till you click on "read all" and then go to "settings" This should not happen. If this new system is so great then why send messages to IMVU Next, Our old message boxes and to our web index? To me that is over kill of sending messages. Just revert back on how it was where we would get a pop up bubble and we just clicked on the pop up and it opens our normal messy box and we read our message, instead of now having a flood of messages sent and you have to click on them all to close to clear that "counter".

I wasn't aware of any changes to the messaging system. What has changed with it?

I believe she is talking about the little Notification Center button that has been recently placed in the top right corner of the client beside the availability dropdown menu. All you have to do is go into your settings and uncheck the box beside "Enable Notification Center" in the "General" part of your settings if you don't like it, and it will go away.

Yes, it goes away, but doesn't give you the pop up notifications again
