Hello everyone,

We are excited to announce that early next year we will be streamlining your Photostream experience by consolidating the feature and giving you more opportunities to share your IMVU moments more than ever before. Starting early next year, Photostream will redirect to the Feed on Next.

A few questions probably come up. Why is this being done and how it is going to improve your experience on IMVU?

Here are the details:

1. We are dedicated to making the best possible experience for the Community. Consolidating Photostream to one Feed will allow you to not only have a seamless experience, but also make it easier to share your IMVU photos.

2. Additionally, we have been hard at work making Photobooth better for our users. You can use it to upload a photo, then have fun customizing it with backgrounds, poses, scribble and filters. You will see that you have an option to upload a Photo from your Chat room experience or choose from any of our unique backgrounds. Check out the ones for the holidays! And yes, there will be more for the New Year and beyond.

3. Remember, the Feed is also available to users on iOS and Android Mobile devices.

But wait...there’s even MORE!

Look for the following exciting new features to the Feed to take place early next year:

1. Permanent posts! At this time your posts expire after 30 days and are gone forever. When you start using the new Feed you will be able to go back further than 30 days. How awesome is that?

2. New Profile Pages! You’ll be able to keep track of your own Feed. See your Feed integrated within Profile Pages and browse your friend’s Feeds.

3. Comments! Imagine using your own animated emoji to show your reaction to a friend’s photo. That's right. WithMoji coming to the Feed. Smile

You just broke my heart.

I hate Next (the only redeeming quality is the Photobooth feature). I hate Pulse (it has no redeeming qualities IMO).

I liked Photostream...but, doubt I'll use now if it means being subjected to Feed.

I begged you not to do this.

I'm so disappointed, IMVU.

Except for the rare occasion where I want to upload an edited pic to Photobooth, the only thing I do on NEXT is quickly switch back to Classic. I too am sad about the change.

I like that we can see products used in the photostream. Will we still be able to click products and go to catalogs from the stream?

It seems a good percentage of photostream users and imvu users for that matter don't even use Next. How is taking a function away from people who were enjoying it and using it and trying to force them to use another format that they don't like a positive?

Who asked for this? This is a terrible idea. There are many many things that can be done to improve Photostream. This is not one of them. You're basically depriving us of one of the more enjoyable features of imvu. Using NEXT should be a choice. We shouldn't be forced to use something we don't like using.

Fixing the coding with a piece of duct tape, rather than going in and actually fixing everything regarding photostream. Just because a button was missing, shows how much this "team" is lazy. It is no surprise you have holes in the coding where there shouldn't be because of the routes imvu decides to take. NEXT is a terrible platform and everything about it is unappealing, it fails miserably, anything to fake those logins on NEXT, right?

I heavily, heavily, dislike IMVU next.
I am technically a 7 year customer. (My alt is a few days earlier in creation)
Believe me when I say this.
A huge portion of your loyal customers either dislike Next in general or are neophobic like myself therefore will hate IMVU Next.
I won't touch IMVU next with a 50 foot pole and there literally is nothing that would convince me to change my mind. Giving me a million credits wouldn't even convert me so nothing you all could give me as an apology note for making client features obsolete would heal the pain. And believe me when I say this. Because I dislike downloading programs, but imvu in it's client form is worth downloading vs imvu next.

No, I'm not over reacting to say this despite you not claiming to make client obsolete, but I'm more than certain that's you goal. I been here long enough to know when imvu is going to walk into a patch of bear traps whilst wearing Arizona sandles and looking for it's lost cat in the wrong place and wrong time.

More or less, it's a headsup. If your platform sales technique is to do it that way, it's not gonna end well.

Hell. Skype even did that before to a degree. Nobody used Skype internet browsing, lol. Tons of people don't use Skype now actually so that may or may not be revelvent.

PS- Though a good amount of newer ideas of development have been things I'm not fond of, I obviously like the Client and staff who have helped me. Which is why I leave feedback on this situation. Because if imvu goes into one more field of bear traps, that hurts not only us customers, but everyone. Including hard working staff. Because if imvu goes down the pooper, that means they'd at one point sooner or later lose their jobs. And that's not something we want.

Well. Thank you for making my decision to quit sharing pictures official.
Permeant feed sounds great if it were on IMVU Original.
Comment w the MOJI things when about half of Streamers don't even like normal emojis.

Typical IMVU, we can't "stop" the spam morons or thieves so we'll just take it away, as usual they take the LAZY way out, there's no money there, so WHO cares, right IMVU... Yes, you can view the products on a photo in feed if the avatar(s) don't have their products hidden.

no offense BUT this is crappy news... i have too many photostream friends and prefer to go to ppl's stream individually...

the NEXT program thru the web is sluggish (at best) and wayyyyyyyyyyy too time consuming...

chances are you are going to change the stream to the point where it's only going to be kids and zero adults. keep in mind WHO spends money on this site? if i'm a betting woman it's the ADULTS not the kids with Guest_ avis begging for gifts, likes and all the other drama laden scenarios ...

Shannon, (just a suggestion) why don't you poll REAL stream folks that use it? We share our IMVU story / life and others share their art ... this will truly be LOST if IMVU doesn't connect with the community as a whole.

idk... if you all follow through on this, it will solidify one more "fun" thing that USED to be on IMVU...

The irony, I was actually starting to use IMVU Mobile and was finding pros to using it.

However, until photo albums, badges and the forums are incorporated into Mobile, Original is still my preferred. And even then, when I use IMVU I am stationary 80% of the time so will still (most likely) prefer Original. No matter how much you try to break it.

Just a dumb move to take the ONE feature that was cool on Next and limit it to next. In theory, it sounds like a smart move BUT photostream isn't that great to get IMVU Original users over to next. I have been here 9 years now and 7 of those years was w out photostream. I can live w out it again to stay off of a feed I prefer not to use.

It's also ironic bc I found myself spending 3 times as much as I usually do on imvu to stream and to complete looks and to add detail to photos bc I was sharing it publicly and wanted the snap to be perfect. Now, I will still take care w my set up and photos but I won't be spending nearly as much bc I won't be posting photos publicly and be worrying about perfection.

So. Thanks for saving me some money IMVU.

I'm not sure how this is exciting news, Shannon. I mean, imvu is showing, once again, how they are only looking to improve Next.

I get it, mobile is big, and it's a huge money-maker, but why does imvu continue to prioritize it over the site/client? Why does it seem they look to only please the mobile users?
