That is kind of the point.

In the client shop and in the web shop, products are displayed via "Best Match" as a default BUT you can change it to display the newest products first.

You do not have that option in Next. In fact, you don't even have the "Best Match" option in Next.

Exactly. And tbh, I think "Newest Products" should be the default setting when viewing an individual creator's shop. Think about it, when you go see what's new with one of your favourite developers, don't you actually want to see WHAT'S NEW? xD

I really do wish they would do away with imvu next its not helpful at all with my sales nothing new sells only things i made months ago seem to sell its like no one can see my new products

It's exactly the same for me and many, MANY, other developers. If it wasn't for Facebook (see, IMVU, how we have to OUTSOURCE with advertisement??!!), nobody would even know I submitted something new to my shop.

NOW I know why my hundred year old stuff (well it's not 100, but my oldest stuff, which IS 10 years old) is the ONLY thing I'm selling anymore, not one new thing is selling... now I know why & to quit wasting my time creating/submitting anything new, it'll NEVER be seen or purchased! Mad

Thanks a LOT IMVU! Evil or Very Mad =^.^=

It means that after 10 years, it's still worth buying and you did a great job.
Wishing old products of mine sold, as well. Laughing

I just wanted to comment on this, because I actually feel the same way. With new products having such low sales, I've come to see developing as a waste of time too and contemplated to quit entirely. Don't get me wrong, I like developing. It's a great way to unload creativity, but if IMVU keeps showing older products first in search results, people are never even going to know I make new things on regular basis...

It's like walking into a fashion store only to find there hasn't been a new collection for months. You walk in only to find the same things they sold last year. Wouldn't you be quick to walk out of the store again? You already tried on everything they are selling. You didn't like it enough to buy it then, you're not going to like it enough to buy it now. Or maybe you already bought it a year ago. Now you want to try on new things.

That is basically how you have to view any individual developer's shop. You want to visit their shop and see what's new. Nobody is going to have enough patience to browse through sixty pages of products just to see if they can spot anything new.

In IMVU Original, at least there is the "Newest First" option. IMVU Next offers no such thing.

That is so true, I will not go through 100's of pages just to see what is new in someone shop.

I don't know if it is because of NEXT or not.
But one thing for sure, after I experienced the look and feel of Next.

As a user I would deff click on NEXT (read next site).

Getting rid of resellers didn't help either. I have spoken with many users that simply said they would not buy cr from imvu.

So it could be a combo of many things.

i also have noticed sales drop .. could this be due to imvu next and the mobile app ? so i don't know but the white manikins do need to go as be an option when you create and up load items on the client
i herd imvu next is offered to new users as a default platform. so one hopes these new people opt to down load the client and use it once they get the hang of things

I was looking at my wedding dresses lately on imvu next with my texturing account and I was like who the heck would by that... white on white is not a way how you should present things.

On the one side it is maybe nice to present everyones products neutral. In a shop you mostly just go through different designers and just when you look inside a clothing piece you see where it comes from. So basically the idea is not bad. It is just totally poorly set up and somehow whatever we say, it seems they are doing it anyway.

I had the same experience tbh, my old things are selling still, everything newer is not. I can't say much for this account as I am making meshes, but on the texturing one it is obvious.

I'm getting sales, (very few) I suppose I should be thankful I'm getting any, but its only old products also. My new stuff is 100% better too and nothing is selling. There's no possible way that IMVU isn't aware of this issue either since it's being repeatedly mentioned in the forums. I'm left to assume they just don't care. Maybe I should file a help ticket about it. Rolling Eyes

I tried NEXT today. i figured i better try before i start bagging it.

Basically they have gone from a 3D cracking awesome client to a program that was valid 20 years ago.

There is no room for furniture (gee thanks imvu)

The only developers that benefit from NEXT are clothing developers.

So in effect, if you dont create clothes and if imvu pushed everyone onto NEXT, you get thrown under the bus...How many paid creators would lose their income?...who knows maybe thats the whole idea.
