I just checked my settings on it and left most as they were. I seen that you could change your email address.

My question in regards to that is... If we have 2 IMVU accounts and would like the email notifications to go to just one email address.

Just curious and wondering if it would just cause confusion, but could we have both accounts using the same email address?

If I remember right, you have to have a separate email address for every account, which is a pain.

I was thinking that also. It is a pain in some respects because I do not frequent this accounts email. I figured it would not hurt to ask. Very Happy

Please IMVU allow someone to change emails under the new system not have to wait for days to verify your email because some staff at imvu take forever to answer a case on this plus cannot update email to verify it stinks what has IMVU done again to mess up a working system

I find it very important messages sent by mail. Know everything that happens in real time on your IMVU helps prevent intrusions to your account. So have checked email is very important for those who have a good account.

You can only set these preferences if you have a verified email address.

The options are as follows:

Birthday and Anniversaries - Greetings that IMVU sends to you to mark special occasions like your birthday and IMVU anniversaries.

Friend requests - Letting you know when you have received a friend request from an IMVU user.

Updates about your friends - Information about important events in your friends's lives such as their marriage announcements.

Messages from IMVU users - Any message you receive from an IMVU user. The email typically contains the actual message content unless for security reasons we ask you to visit your IMVU inbox to read it.

Pulse post or Photo Stream comment notifications - When someone comments on your pulse or photo posts (feed on IMVU Next).

Flag notification -Confirmation when you flag or report any user or content for IMVU to review.

Sales and special offer notifications - For IMVU's sales and promotions. This includes messages sent from IMVU Offers and IMVU Inc.

IMVU Updates - Emails announcing new features or changes to your IMVU experience.

IMVU Tips and Hints - Emails notifying you of how to enhance your IMVU experience.

Creator product sales reports - This is applicable to Creators. When their product is sold or derived from.

Creator product review reports - This is applicable to Creators. When their products have received a customer review.


Following options can not be unsubsribed from and are considered emails we are required to send.

Creator warning notices - Related to the DMCA process.

Security notifications - Related to action taken by IMVU on your accounts including notices when an account is suspended or banned. Also includes emails sent to senders and recipients of Credit transfers.

Purchase notifications - Related to any purchases made in IMVU's Credit store.


We hope this helps you manage your email inbox better and have better control over how you stay connected with the IMVU community.

NOTE: All active IMVU users will receive a IMVU Inbox message to this effect by early next week.

I hate that we have to leave the site to get our messages. having it automatically take us to our web browser and it takes longer and also shows up in browser history if you want to keep them private and forget to clear your history... I HATE IT

The last three boxes on the page can't be unchecked; they're set there by default.

Do you mean purchases you make in our Credit store? Such transactional emails are required to be sent and can not be unsubscribed from.
