Varsha, could you please, for once, confirm if you are aware of the specific performance issue described here? https://community.amd.com/message/2663870#2663870
And whether or not it can be resolved by the IMVU development team? And if not, would you be willing to contact AMD about this, since they are completely ignoring my topic?

(And yes, plenty other people with AMD Radeon graphics are experiencing the same, I've been asking around. But getting them to post about it is a different matter, though.)

What did IMVU break this time?

I don't think it's my internet connection considering that every other site I have been to has loaded up fine.

Where to begin? (All of the following are issues on Client side but working fine through website)

- Pulse not loading
- Inventory barely loading (Wearing stuff pops up with "Can't be worn"
- Messages barely loading
- Chat Room listing barely loading
- Chat rooms themselves barely loading
- Saved outfits not loading

I see the website working great. I see the client working very well. Little to no issues anyplace. I have been on and off the IMVU Client heavily in the past 3 days and things are good. I have had very little issues in the past month.

Something that is recently been noticed in the Bugs forum. Those people using the WebRoot Internet Security are having heavy issues. It is of recent and may be because of an update to WebRoot. This is a similar issue to that of Avast about 16 months ago. AVG web filters has caused similar this some time in the past.

To those experiencing heavy issues, I would suggest (consider with your own judgment) to disable the Internet Security for a quick test or better yet, uninstall it and reinstall a different Internet Security for the test.

Another observation I have made is people living on the east Coast of the United States or Canada and people who live across the Atlantic Ocean are posting to have more issues than others. Why this is I do not know. I would not be surprised if there is a major Internet connection hub between those locations and IMVU having issues. especially with all the recent tornados, flooding, etc. in the middle of the United States.

I was giving this the benefit of the doubt.. decided to try a few things. Even went so far as to clean install IMVU.

BINGO!!

It worked for a couple hours and back to everything that I have mentioned before.

So i'm not thinking it's because of bad weather anymore.

Not when for a couple hours it was working fine with no issue and I log off, log back in and BOOM issue city.

Decided to take a walk onto the NEXT thread in this forum and noticed other people having similar issues.

EDIT~

Just thought of something else too.. I loaded up my alt account and there was 0 issues and that alt account is loading off the same fresh install.

In efforts of testing Snowy, what about a test with the first account again.

Try deleting all the cache file. I like to simply type in %appdata% in the windows search and then find the IMVU folder in the sub-folder 'Roaming'. Right click and delete the whole folder. Restart IMVU. Do you get another 2 hours or so of good running?

Just info. When we use the in-Client Clear IMVU Cache, it gets 95% of everything. Deleting the folder does 2 things, it give a clean 'wipe' of all cache, log, etc. files and (this may be important) it allows the new IMVU Cache to be rebuilt in a new area of the storage hard disk drive.

By Fresh Install I mean that I had done the following:
- Wiped out both the IMVU folder and IMVU Client folder
- Ran a registry cleaner
- Scanned and removed any straggling files I could find dealing with IMVU.
- Reinstalled IMVU

----------

Just did what you suggested and the results are not quite the same as when I did a fresh install.

Instead of everything working fine for a bit and then getting to my previous point. I am at: where I was before with this not loading, and that not loading and etc.

I could test this with my alt account.. but i'm going to assume it's going to be this situation.

Main account working like garbage, Alt account working fine.

EDIT~

Though from further looking into things, it seems that this issue has now been slightly lessened or maybe worse. Who knows anymore
- Accessory pictures not loading
- Pulse not loading
- Photo Album covers not loading
- Some photo thumbnails not loading (Photo loads fine when viewed)
- Some furniture images not loading (Furniture loads though)
- Recent visited room pictures not loading (Same image not loading if I look for the room in the room search)

EDIT II~

Going to try and do a wipe and downgrade and see what happens.

Sounds like you are doing some excellent troubleshooting. Just more info... Others with similar issues were found to be using the WebRoot antivirus (Web Filtering). This is for several people. One person said Norton was causing similar. I am on AVG Pro full firewall, filters and all. I still have no issues. Sorry you are experiencing this Snowy :/

Downgraded to X.0 and everything is working fine at the moment. X.4 just doesn't seem to like me.

Some of you folks need to realize that by downloading a beta version (which, right now, is any version above 523.0), you're actually voluntarily posing as a guinea pig for a not-yet-fully-tested and potentially unstable new version. The whole purpose of a beta is to have the end-users find and report bugs in a new and unofficial release. So one shouldn't come to complain and rant about bugs in a beta release, but rather report your bug findings in an objective way with as much details as possible.

I finally gave up and got a new H.P. computer with windows 10 but with a Intel core 13 and no more problems. I was due for another computer any way and all my problems are gone.
