Anyone remember the old IMVU the really cool IMVU that had hundreds of thousands of fun people with trigger music which has been replaced with all that cr**ppy 20 second sound bites that people fail miserably to play as 'DJ' and still violate copyrights even if they are 20 second segments.

YOU REMMBER THE DAY DONT YOU - Before the IMVU Client - When EVERYTHING ran in a web Browser- SO COOL you coulf have multiple browsers open and chat in multiple rooms with out flipping screens, you could create in the creator tool and chat simultaneously - It was SO ready to be usable on webrowser on your tablet or phone. HAHAH short sighted or what developing s**t when you had a workable solution 5 years ago what was it called back then IMVU Beta

Bring that back and stop wasting time upsetting the dwindling community you already have.

Sadlly IMVU picked on me to suffer their trial roll out of this latest abortion please someone post me or PM me the link to an old client so I can read my messages in the CLient and not keep having to open a browser to read them

AND IMVU

PLease make up your mind whether you want this to be a browser based experience or a Client based one - if I wanna chat on my phone I will use skype why would I use IMVU's half baked Messenger when there are much better Chat Apps for mobile devices - You guys are like dinosaurs - and soon to be extinct.

same for me i check often but no nothing from imvu. it is same thing they are doing to people HERE about opt-out animated badges. people in that topic have complain since July 11, 2015 and no reply for them from imvu...

And I only see people on pulse complaining on how they're ready to leave IMVU or go on hiatus, soon this thread is gonna be dead (because no one will be able to post here anymore) and I'm certain they won't open another one so ALL the community can keep complaining about this sh*tty change.

Way to go, IMVU! Keep doing the lame job of ignoring your community and refusing to go back with the idea of changing the inbox.

You're not gonna go very far if you keep treating your customers this way. Because, apparently, you forget that your customers are the people who keep this site. Without us, IMVU is nothing (:

Really Imvu, this is just plain insane to take the messages out of the client and to put them on the webpage, making it impossible for use to see our messages until we access the webpage. If I am on imvu I don't want to go to a webpage just to see the messages that I am being sent from my friends that are also on imvu and furthermore we shouldn't have to be forced to do this. Its bad enough that you are still going through with imvu next which is totally uncalled for and most of us don't even want it you say you are looking out for your clients but how can you be looking out for your clients when you clearly implement stuff that your clients have vetoed, yet you still go ahead with it. And as far as taking out the message alerts in the chat on the client that is an even worse idea yet. As a developer on imvu I need that message alert to know when a product has passed peer review there are times that I have to gift the product I have submitted to a client since I have already been paid for developing that product for them, also without those message alerts how are we supposed to know when we have received a message from one of our friends. From what it is sounding like we would have to access our webpage several times during our stay on imvu, which mind you we come on imvu to chat with our friends and to have fun not to have to monitor the webpage to see if we have missed any messages from our friends. This is totally insane to implement this idea, it is totally taking away from our experience on imvu instead of adding to it. There is absolutely no need to move our messages to the webpage when it is just fine the way it is . We can just click on our inbox to see our messages in the client instead of bringing up a webpage and having to wait for that webpage to load up. Start really listening to your clients and do what they want instead of what you think would be a better experience for them. We don't want our messages moved to the webpage, leave them in the client in our inbox. I hope that this time you listen to your clients and not like you did with imvu next which you went to implement anyway after having so many negative reviews on it. I for one hate the imvu next, its hard to navigate and I hate being shown as logged in when i'm just on the webpage and my friends think I am actually on the client when i'm not. I will never use imvu next. So listen to your clients this time and leave the messages in our inbox on the client. Stop trying to bring on new features that you think would be better for us and fix the problems that already exist, like the freezing up of the client when a new person loads into the room or when someone changes in the room. Fix the problems that need to be fixed before you go trying to add new features that clearly are not wanted. My vote is to leave the messages on the client in our inbox and to keep the message alerts on the client.

I was "surprised" by it on my alt account two days ago, and I hate it. Please leave inbox in the client. I do not want IMVU opening my browser for messages. It's bad enough I have to open my browser to derive, edit, and submit products. I like running stand-alone programs. I don't need, nor want, IMVU to be dependent on another program to deliver content.

I do not like nor appreciate this feature of the inbox change. It lags my laptop and it is incredibly annoying. It is so much easier to open a tab to check a message instead of having to log onto the web page to do the same thing. There are many other things that could be corrected w IMVU rather than mess up something that has worked for so long. Example... KBS in shop... it would be nice to see how many kbs our avatars carry prior to purchase of products. It is available in Dress up and in Create so I am sure it would be easy change to do and appreciated by many. Please reconsider YOUR choice in this change and consider OURS. Thank You in advance

I notice that IMVU are plastering us with 'sale this', 'sale that', 'bonus this', 'bonus that'. black friday and small saturday.

How about BIG MISTAKE day, you just know that so many who whined about the loss of resellers are buying into the big sales, and moaning on this thread but still giving imvu their money.

Unless we all stand and make a statement this message mess is going to stay. And when IMVU dies to less than 5k active members they will just say we all wanted too much and they couldn't keep up with the demand, NOT we didn't want all the things they forced onto us so everyone left.

It's about time our CEO gave an appearance isn't it? Come on Brett, please tell us what's in your mind about this update.

Moving the inbox was a diversionary tactic I think. Take your eyes off a law suit in progress against them by inconveniencing you, while the spam buried all those control numbered class action claim forms they sent, cutting their potential claims against them for destroyed music rings in half.

All quite legal. Ethical? Mmmm not so much. People who are entitled to make those claims in either real credits or cash now will have to delete their way back to an IMVU Inc. email. IF they haven't deleted the email itself already. No one even noticed this, or I should say most didn't.
