Hello everyone, Did you update to Windows 10? Have you a new computer or installation of the Windows 10? Something strange going on? Here is the place to post about your issue with Windows 10 and IMVU Client or Web Pages.

What is needed is the following:


1 - Windows 10 Upgrade or New Installation?
2 - What was the old Windows Version, if upgraded?
3 - Current Version of your IMVU Client:
4 - How much Ram on your Computer:
5 - CPU Processor and Graphics information: (Search/Run "DxDiag" to get info.)
6 - The exact error message you are receiving (if any):
7 - What type of Firewall/Antivirus program are you using?:

Some issues, IMVU is aware but others, they are not. Although, asking in the forums for User-To_user help is good, it is a good idea to start a Help Ticket.

We need a step by step instruction on what you do when the issue happens. If you know how, provide a screen shot (less than 500x500px) of the error message or issue. Try the newest pre-release of the IMVU Chat Software from Here:

This is a good idea Lestat, this will help a lot in the long run. For additional information I would say to also include the version of Windows that was upgraded from; such as Windows 7 or Windows 8(8.1).

Well my related thread on the AMD support forums is receiving no love at all. Maybe it would get more attention if people from here, who have AMD graphics and experience similar issues, would sign up on the AMD forums and post in my thread over there.

I saw your thread about the AMD sorry was on phone and forgot to post there. Also i'm running from upgrade from windows 8.1 Running of IMVU 522.0 (also how do you set it up to display on forums?) I have 4GB of ram. I'm running off a AMD A6 5200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.00 GHz. I'm getting zero error messages Razz
I'm using malwarebytes premium. I have windows defender turned off(even though it turns back on)
Most of my bugs are gone but recently I have match me freeze IMVU. Am I the only one?

Apart from Match me freezing, are you experiencing any loss of framerate compared to before windows 10? More specifically when imvu is in Direct3D mode? And is it causing high cpu usage for the "system" process in your task manager?

my issue is that i randomly cant enter chat rooms with friends, and if i enter my room beforehand and they accept the invite i get booted as i recieve the "unable to connect to chat room" message

Not that I have noticed. My framerate was perfect but today I decided to see if there was driver updates and BAM!!! Framerates dropped. So it seems 8.1 drivers run fine so try rollingback AMD drivers. I also have noticed a slight spike in system but it's only at 10% max. Which wasn't always that high before. A friend told me it's gonna be like that for a while since updates are going on in background.

3 - 521.6 (same issues on all 521 versions, wont upgrade to 522 yet since its not addressing any issues i have)
4 - 12GB
5 - AMD A 10-5745M APU with Radeon HD Graphics (CPU's), 2,1 GHz
(all drivers updated)
7 - AVG Pro

Direct 3D: high cpu usage and low framerate, extremely laggy now and then
OpenGL: textures not showing properly

I have to update. I found on the prelease the lag is worse with OpenGL and directx isn't as bad. My best results are on standard at the moment.

I moved back to my University two days ago, and the error message it is giving me has been going on since then. I could get on imvu last year when I was here, it shouldn't be a problem now...

I would try the computer from another location. If you have a notebook or portable of some type, try it from a web cafe' or off-campus library, etc. Try from more than one if you can. It sounds like the University may be filtering social websites. You can also ask the school.

Beyond that, if nothing has changed on the computer and only the location, I do not know. You can double check the WebRoot and make sure it is allowing the IMVU Web Site(s)

What method did you use to upgrade to 10? The update that was built in or the one through microsoft software? Could be driver issues. Have you updated all your drives through device manager? Also check webroot see if it's doing anything with imvu. I remember webroot and imvu didn't play nice on my old computer. If all else fails try lesta's plan Razz
