As for ppl mentionin cleanin caches, NORTON does not clean the IMVU CACHE, only 2 ways does that and I'm not sure one fully does that is the uninstall, reinstall some do, which if you cleaned the cache weekly, even biweekly it usually only takes a few minutes, less time than a uninstall process. Doesn't take much to clean it either as you log in or just as you get ready to log out.


Oh, so glad that's gone. I haven't got the update yet, but I soooo hated that popup!

Had the same thing when updating to the latest.24 . Did a whole uninstall and restarted my computer. Then installed .24 again and it was gone. But still IMVU needs to fix it and soon because it's been going on for a while now.

I know what you mean it is so frustating that IMVU isn't doing anything about it, but is so quick in fixing buttons that disappeared in " Get Matched " Or making us wear the same outfits when you are using Next or the Mobile version.

I can't sign into the client suddenly, I am advised that the IMVU service cannot be reached and to check my connection...connection is fine with all other applications I've tried... although the web based IMVU home page loads still, but very slowly...as said, no issues with any other site.

EDIT: Finally managed to sign in via the client, sadly no public chat rooms are available to me...new message now tells me problems recovering chat room info...still asking me to check my connection (which remains good for everything else)

I am having the very same issue.

urlopen error The read operation timed out

that is the error i am getting. My connection is fine and i can go and do just about anything else

Updated to .24 and I have to say,Im impressed so far with how well it is running for me.Items are loading/unloading quicker.Rooms,dressing room,and shop opens and loads faster.Lag is not present. I just wished you guys were not removing the inbox.I use the client inbox religiously Sad

This is not a good update as some of us have problems loading a browser when we are on the client. Plus i am one of the ones that it redirections and I don't even have the notification tab they are referring to. This is really a bad choice on IMVU's part. I wish they would change it back or at least make it to where we can chose if we want to recieve our messages with in the client or the web. Give the customers a say in the matter for once instead of changing things that aren't broken.
