So I used to make stickers when I first started IMVU, I had okay success, but if you look... no one uses their Homepages anymore, at least 80% of users.. So I was wondering have other developers found much success in todays IMVU market with this?

I just saw there's other forum posts like this, but this one would be great to keep open for poll feedback as I would love to see in numbers what the general votes are.

Personally I've never made stickers but I do know that a lot of people who do actively use their homepages like to decorate with stickers to match their homepage theme. The only thing is, I think a lot of those people like to make their own custom stickers also.. If the sticker is good enough though, I don't see why it wouldn't sell Razz

If you want to start creating stickers is your best bet and they still can sell if they're good! I still purchase stickers myself for my homepage so your best bet is to start learning to make good quality typography using Photoshop and learning effects for text like glow, shadow etc. Transparent stickers are your best bet. (Remember to save as .png) It's a cheap effective way of starting your path of being a creator and it certainly adds to your metrics. You can even become a pro just by making stickers if you're really good and popular. Anyone can do it. Practice makes you better and better. I used to be terrible at typography but a year of studying art and I'm waaaay better. So maybe just do the occasional sticker if you're worried about it.

I would say that the glorious sticker days are over. They are still selling ocasionally but the days when you could make a pro with having just 300 products and all of them were stickers are long gone. I am on my main account almost not selling stickers anymore. People go mostly into html layouts now and decorate their homepage with code build in things.

*mod hat off*

My personal experience with stickers is that they are too risky. CS rerated my page to AP multiple times because of supposedly 'misrated' stickers that matched the VGRP, but in their opinion fudged the line too much.

I agree with Elia - the age of stickers has passed. People don't decorate their pages as much anymore. You'll get the rare or odd creator, or 'club owner' who will decorate their page, but the vast majority of them are plain.

Personally, I love stickers. But my sales in stickers have declined some but they still get bought sometimes.

I like stickers, I use them (minimally, yes) but as far as making them and selling them...
I have 33 stickers, 5 of them are hidden granted, but the one with the most sells still only has 14 T.T they are also pretty old and they are what I started out with so some of them aren't that great... but some of them are! lol And most of them I have used myself at one point or another.

I like stickers, but personally don't use many. I don't think a lot of people buy them, because they don't use the website as much these days.
