It might just be me, but has anyone noticed they get no sales when they choose the cash option, and an explosion of sales for the credit option?

I'm just tier 4, so my sales tend to be kinda unstable. But I'm so used to getting tons of sales whenever I submit new products, and I've been submitting a lot lately and people are only buying my older stuff. When I switch to credits, boom! Sales! Cash, hardly anything.

I asked in my pulse yesterday but figured I'd get more replies here.

I don't see how it would matter since users would not know if you are electing to earn cash or credits.

,...my sales are still steady counldn't see why cash verses credits make a huge difference ,...but it is warm weather now people are out doing summer stuff and vacations so it tends to slow down little in here during the summer months

^ I don't think selecting to earn cash or credits is the issue here... but recently I noticed a drop in sales right after 14th May, and it's been that low since.

Yeah I don't think whether or not someone decides to earn cash vs credits matters, since clients don't know what you selected.

I think it's probably due to people trying to get used to the new system so they're not buying as much, and everyone was trying to sell their credits before the end of resellers.

I know for me I had a drastic drop in sales after the announcement was made (As in going from 10k+ a day to 3k a day if I'm lucky) kind of drop

Hopefully everything will start working itself back out and everyone's sales will return to normal.

Even though it's probably coincidence I thought the same. Shocked

I do one week credits and one week cash and it seems like I have hardly any sales the week I change to cash. Maybe I need to trick them and do 2 weeks cash Twisted Evil

If there was an algorithm that meant you got less sales when cash was selected than when credits are then IMVU would have to pay out less real money. But they would never do that would they ...

</devil's advocate>

Could not find a sales slump yet. Everything is constant and is slightly increasing as of last month. Hope it will go on this way!

My sales have been pretty bad regardless lately, and I have not yet been verified (put it in 2 weeks ago and still nothing) so I can't test the theory anyway. Razz

Well, I haven't created anything in 5+ months because RL.. So I had low sales as is. I just started making dozens of products this month to catch up before I go inactive for a couple months again.

So.. I couldn't tell either way. Little to no sales for me even with all my latest products and heavy promotion on site, off site, in-client, etc. In time I will see, though.

How on earth do you manage to come to that conclusion??????????????????

Not opted in for the cash and i'm seeing in the last month a drop of 99% in my sales. In fact the sales drop is so drastic that i had more sales when this account was new than i currently get.

This change has just messed up sales period some have gained some have lost and the loses and gains are wild swings end of story.

I chose to remain with the credit system. I had a very very marginal drop until the 14th....and my sales have plummeted...I am lucky if I see more than 3k a day now.....a good day is around 8k lol

I don't think its got anything to do whether you have selected to remain with credit or cash...I think its got everything to do with customers tightening their belts....holding onto credits until they have more confidence in imvu. I think many are worried that if they spend up, and then imvu stop doing the constant credit sales and the prices rise......they will simply not be able to afford to buy the credits. The market is jittery and I think will settle once/if confidence is restored
