At this stage I'd be happy with even "sorry but we are not going to answer your questions." Just gimme something.

IF imvu is planning on getting that many new users. My concern would be the masa caps. Wouldn't that mean that there would be a higher incidence of people's sales skyrocketing from the previous 12 months? Yeah.... Of course personally I think their predictions are massively an overestimate and that the whole platform for that will be a big flop and not make much actual money for imvu. But I'm just saying IF imvu really thinks this is going to increase business then why are they implementing caps based on creators business BEFORE such numbers and sales come rolling in? Oh well I see a few reasons why but none of them are good for the creators that's for sure.

yes ash this is something ive thought also...they might be silly enough to think they can triple business overnight or something and that were all going to make 3 times as much and then they will use masa to not pay us (if this actually happened which i also doubt)

I've been away from IMVU due to illness and I'm just getting back on. To me this is all so IMVU can control the price of the credits. I bought from a reseller because it was so much cheaper. Looks like I'll be saving a lot of money I won't buy any more credit, which means the only credits I'llbe spending is the ones I get because of my VIP .

Disabling accounts will do nothing but hurt yourself in the end. There are so many on here who tend to just roll with the punches and put up with what IMVU does. It's sad actually that it has come to this, but it would take 100% of the community to walk away, for IMVU to shut down, and that is just not going to happen. I gave up on creating on here a long time ago because it just seems to me that just about EVERYONE is a creator lol (not sure of exact percentage of creators and could care less)

Only 3094 product pages to go, removing the 'no longer allowed to be mentioned' whatchamacallit.

Sad Help?

I had a reseller credit atm machine kind of thing, you stand on it, there was a flash link to an official reseller, and a trigger to make money come from the machine. and I sold that at cost price, gifting most of them.

As per IMVU's request.
I removed the flash link and removed any references to resellers, and upped the price Razz

http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=15217244

I also write on the page, why. So I have done the right thing?

NO..
So far 3 accounts in demanding refunds from me.

I refunded the first one, the next two I told to file a help ticket.

Can CS be made aware that these sort of transactions may be coming in.. I can't see that its our job to refund, I don't think there will be a lot, just a your problem not mine.. I complied with IMVU's request.

Not sure why folks are complaining. From what I remember IMVU is rolling out onto different platforms including Android and Apple (that was mentioned in the changes) so there is a potential of like 50 million users that will become IMVU customers. When that happens real money will start rolling in, so stop the whining and complaining..IMVU knows what is best for you! (ends with a sarcastic smirk)

*falls over laughing hard* I so needed that. ty

Is the reason they want refunds that they can no longer buy credits through it? That would be silly (but also very plausible).

And yes we should not have to refund such products.

Creators earn money directly from IMVU - UPDATED

http://www.imvu.com/catalog/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpbb2&file=viewtopic.php&t=532195

Why the change?

Short answer:

To ensure our hard-working Creators can earn money for their creations consistently, reliably, and easily; and to get them ready to earn money via new earning opportunities in the future. These new earning opportunities will have requirements as to how we manage our Credit economy.

Long answer:

First and foremost, we needed to re-evaluate the current (and expected) requirements by our partners regarding the way our Credit economy currently works. It was clear that we need to have a more direct relationship with our content Creators in the context of them earning money for products they sell in our Shop.

Below, are more details about the various reasons:

1) Creators make money with a reliable, consistent and easy process.

--You will earn your money every time you make a sale - no need to worry whether resellers are accepting Credits or not. Plus, get your cash payout anytime your available balance has reached $50 and you have already verified your information (to be done only once)

--You will keep earning money from IMVU for your product sales and request payouts - once you have verified your account (a one-time process). No need to check every time whether you can sell your Credits or not.

"There in bold".

Simply amazing. I'm guess while our awesome U.S. Government hit IMVU with the taxes.. They sat them down at that huge conference table and shared with them how to do "Fixed Income".. I know how this works, I've watched my parents for years living on a "fixed income" and it's crap! Is this what you are doing IMVU? Did they get to you? If that's the case.. then you should be coming off the hip with some benefits for us just like the Gov does for people with "fixed incomes"..

I thank God I don't depend on this place as my income, create at my real job (digital graphics artist). I do this for the pure enjoyment of and to have a little jingle in my pocket, however.. there are people here.. REAL PEOPLE not avatars, pixels, etc that feed their families, keep a roof over their heads and pay out for medical bills for themselves and family..

I guarantee this is why Matt Danzig left, he knew what was coming and didn't want to be steam rolled in the middle of it. It would be nice if the rest of us could leave but as stated above people make their livelihood here and you are sending us to the ration lines for scraps!

This new woman brought in.. her name eludes me at the moment. The one who came from the Sims.. Is this her bright idea? If so, SEND HER PACKING back from where she came from! She has no idea how things work here and I don't care what business degrees/certificates she's got strapped under her belt because I'm pretty sure she isn't on a "fixed income" like we are now.

If IMVU cannot keep up with the overhead of payouts then bring back the Resellers for them to cover the red. Raise the percentage paid back to you (Which we know you will have no problem doing).. and let us get back to normal! So many of us are hesitant of creating ANYTHING now.. There were so many of us who stood by during the Tax reform, going against others, being called scabs and whatever else.. and look what you do to us now. I have big plans here.. Plans with Mattman and its now slipping through our fingers.. Thanks to you and your staff.

/gloves off.

That... says it all, so perfectly.
Nomatter what you say (and you're not saying a lot, IMVU) something is off.
I lost my last faith in this place, and when Matt left, I knew this is really not something I wanna be a part of.

*still observing... remaining passive

This system is here to stay....bringing back resellers will ONLY delay this process and put us all back to day one of pend and we will go though this all over again.

Its not a matter of not being able to pay its a matter of the volume of requests coming in. When this system settles down...and people get used to the time frames things take and budget for them this should hopefully get smoother.

I am one of those that rely on imvu for my income and rely on the steady amount every 2 weeks....however this transition process has been very rough on me and my rl day to day..I am now having to go to credit cards to pay for bills that normally would have been paid by now...

But...going backwards will only make things worse for us at a later date....thats like saying putting something off until tomorrow...or next mnth.

All I want atm is faster request payouts...to get Paid...so I can pay these regular bills that keep mounting up...I need to be able to keep getting my regular pay or ill be forced to quit imvu and go out into the work force. Unfortunately this will mean my kids get bought up in daycare's while I am out of my house working.

I hope it doesn't come to that....I am being patient and watch as every day ticks over and my payout request doesn't get moved..Sad...its scary. I know once we move past these next mnths Ill be able to settle into a regular wait time and regular payout...

Just this transition is rough....so as far as bringing back resellers...(as much as I feel for them)...it will hurt us more in the long run...as this transition will happen...

..It gotta be HURT that for sure....We Love Our Account...
I will question you guys..."DONT YOU HURT ENOUGH NOW?"
all action of imvu did to us...it's daily hurt
There are 3 choices for us.
1.) Or we work as a hobby and get some lil money as a part time job.
2.) Or we leave the catalog like that...no more creating.
3.) Or disable.
.....................................................................................
At the end I'm sure IMVU will take control all of these Monkey Rule which totally 100% user did not agree with them..
Coz' there are the weakness user like us...let them treat us like a monkey.

IMVU didn't respected us anymore
Dont you guys realize this?
