Seriously, those actions are so 2004. It's time to either do away with them, or at least get them updated to something newer....AND with the ability to disable them altogether.

LMAO hun, I forgive you for trying to kickbutt me in the face lololol

I don't mind the default actions actually and would not like if they were done away with altogether. If people were given a choice or whether they want their avi to do it or not, that would be fine.

I've never been a fan of the actions to begin with but lately I have found that people are using them in more rude ways.

The swaggy gangsta types keep spamming chats with "z" over and over again to make their avatar collapse on the floor. It's annoying and it's pointless. What needs to be done in this case is remove trigger words. Only allow people to do these actions by clicking the trigger command in the drop down click-on-avatar menu, this will prevent the chat from being spammed with trigger words/letters. Users will still be able to use the actions, but they won't be able to spam the chat with them.

I've seen some very classy ladies spamming the MCG pose and asking the company "do u like wut u see ?" That pose is for developer use, not some faux strip tease action. Take that one away from general chats full stop and only allow it in shop mode and create mode for checking purposes.

I am in complete agreement here, save a few things. I like to hug. So the hug action needs to stay. And I kissy my BF a lot , so a couple of those have to stay. I think we should be given the option to turn default actions off manually, and leave what we want. Not to mention our default actions can be blocked from the website account, so others can't make us do things we don't want to do. (VIP possibly required)
We can't just ask from imvu to remove them all completely. That would be unfair to everyone, in one way or another. We need to be tolerant and/or speak out at the annoying people.

Well said, I agree with you. I know VIP can currently stop actions that others do to them, but I would like that to go even further. I don't want to do an action to prevent an action. I just want it disabled, because I don't like the loading of the actions themselves, they lag me (espeacially when I'm busy doing other things.)

Sleep is a terrible trigger. Like when I tell someone to "Sleep well", it looks really stupid that my avatar does a falling asleep action... it makes imvu look like it was programmed by a bunch of amature morons...

Many times I avoid telling the people I know in real life about imvu because honestly.. I'm embarassed of it x,x the type of free gifts they give us are really ugly and pretty much a horrible representation of what imvu creators can really do. I'm a developper on here.. it would help me alot of I could brag to my friends about what I do and make on here.. but I feel I cannot do that x.x They would probably tell me to stop wasting my time on something so stupid :/ But anyways! I am actually VERY happy about the new default starter avatars new members get ^_^ And there's even a furry and elven species for them to select o,o I thought that was just awesome and encouraged diversity and even rp, which is good since there are alot of gamers and characer roleplayers that like to use online chat sites like imvu. Now if we can just control their available avatar actions, so they can get into less trouble when they're testing out their avi abilities on the public... would be great not havign a bunch of people yelling and screaming at them and booting them where ever they went, until they get fed up and not become an imvu member anymore.. that would be just great lol

I don't mind the minimal things like nodding on "yes" and shaking head on "no", but that's it. Most of the actions just look goofy and there is no need for them. If not the option to disable them like VIP actions, the triggers should at least be limited to one specific, not commonly used word. "Yes", "yeah", "Y" - why not make the trigger ONLY "yes", for example? Same with all the laughing; make it "lmao" or "rofl" only, and leave the more common "lol" triggerless.

Now I'm getting fed up of these flying gifts everytime someone gets a present.. a few is fine, but when someone is getting bombarded with gifts, it tends to lag the room up badly, and it's not like I can ask people to exit the room while they're doing this lol

Like today wasn't so bad, but I still felt the lag spike so I removed my 3d graphic chat window by minimizing the screen... one person made an item and gifted it to each person in my room.. one by one.... because she didn't have all of our names in her friendslist, she couldn't auto gift it to us all together. I'd like that issue to be fixed... also would be dam cool if during an auto gift, instead of one indivudual goft box be thrown at each avi.... if there could be like one big present up high.. and it rain a little present box upon each gifted avatar.................. actually that feature would be much cooler if imvu made the option for people to "gift entire room" button >,> either insdie the room.. or even better.. the option to do it outside the room too, so that promoters and devs can easily go around gifting entire rooms their items... :3

But yeah, seriously, I would really love the option to remove that avi action when people are getting gifted repeatively.. that load bar really lags when there's alot of gifts going around.. I mean it's really fun when it's 1 or 2 gifts.. but a bombardment of gifts is just messy on the overlapping of actions x.x I would hate to put restrictions where people can only gift certain amounts at a time, so a feature that stops the actions put allows the gifts to come through would just be awesome for everyone xp

I like the idea of being able to gift the entire room; however, I dislike the idea of being able to gift outside of the room.
Why? I get enough promotional stuff that I do not want from developers without this feature. It will just increase the amount of unwanted stuff I will receive from developers trying to gift their way to the top. No thanks.
I know that everyone will not use the feature for that purpose, but you cannot deny that the fact that some will.

I dont mind them so much. They get annoying when the room is full and some people spam them. I like this idea though. Gives a room owner the ability to prevent spamming the triggers. I also would like to see an opt out, like VIP has the avatar actions (like hugging and tackling). Only make it availabke for EVERYONE IMVU.

You want to edit the macros file. It's just XML. Pretty self explanatory. macros.config.xml
There are triggers for different languages. I just add XML comments so as to not mess with the file too much. You can also add your own macros. For instance, when i type "brb" it triggers "*use product" which adds a brb sign over my head. "back" takes the sign off. Convenient Smile
