Is it normal when someone puts a furniture down it disappears after they leave the room?

I placed a couple furniture down in my friend and I's shared room, that has been made public, and it stays there until I leave the room. Is that normal? Or is it something that needs to be looked into? o.o

You put what badges if any you want on your badge card you do not have to display the badge if you do not want to.

No you don't have to be V.I.P. Go into the "Chat Rooms" section and click "create a room" when the box loads, at the top right where it says "Select a room", room shells will already be clicked on, you need to click on "shared rooms" & it's just like setting up a regular chat room from there ^_^.

Thank you all who have bought the package and given your feedback. I was going to be buying a sharedroom to create a room for the public so that I could have a friend share the control in the room and decorate. But now that I have read these reviews I won't be buying it not really worth the hasle. I agree with others, imvu needs to change the rules and make it like AP a lifetime buy, also allow the account that bought the package to switch the partnering friend if there is a falling out, and fix the editing while it's public issue. I'm sure most would still be ok with the other persons items being pulled from the room if we had the choice to switch partners but would be nice for our items to stay in place. As so we do t have to redecorate everything. Also maybe you can add a feature to it that can allow us to keep the room public with just ourselfs until we find someone we want to choose to share that room with. (Pretty much allowing us to not have to make a rash decision in picking a new partner at the same moment we are making the decision to get rid of a partner. If IMVU can think about all of us who want to use this feature and make it better then I'm sure as others have said more ppl will buy it and lots of them. I know I will!!!!!

I for one think this sucks! If I buy and pay for a room then decide not to share with someone I should keep the room and be able to use it with someone else. That's like paying for a house with a room mate then losing the house because the room mate becomes an ass. This is stupid! Why would someone pay for something that can and will be taken sooner or later?

All information should have been readily available on the landing page where you purchase a product, all respectable responsible companies would have made sure that was set in place before going live onto any billing system where real money transactions are involved. Its common sense and good practice. Nobody should have to go searching through some forum for details. Mad

Parts bolded by me this is IMVU where if you are a member for some time you already know. You already know... Sad but true. Should have, could have, would have this is IMVU enough said.

Yes, experienced users do know imvu are negligent with informing users of new services, but that does NOT abrogate their responsibility to list ALL the information on Shared Rooms on the product purchase page. They most certainly should have told people they lose the room if their friend unshares the room with them.

Why didn't they put it on the purchase page when they put it in the announcement thread. Because it would have stopped some people from buying it. That's why.

May I throw this scenario in the loop?...Person A decides to purchase the room share and does so with their friend,Person B.After a few weeks,Person B is disabled for whatever reason.Does this make the share room null and void? Also, would Person A be reimbursed,or offered a "replacement" room share?

Another important question: Person B was wrongly disabled, as often happens, and gets their account back. What happens then?

I was just thinking about this little scenario, being that IMVU is known for doing so.

Bumping this up as i think this is a vital question that needs answering by Varsha

If this happens, then Customer Service will handle it on a case by case basis when account is determined to be okay and re-activated.

Hello, i just have to say shared rooms is really great, i'm so happy that it finally been created. I been thinking the same thing what happens if the other person you shared with disepear? That i been thinking more about is when ppl get shared room invitation then dont accept it what happens then with it? and how many shared rooms one person can have. Would be glad for answers ty.

Of course I would only share a room with a close friend I trust but how would the block list and permanent ban tie into the feature, during my time with imvu I've run into a few people I would rather not be around and have added them to my block list.

I'm asking if the permanent ban from the rooms on the shared room feature be a combination of both of the owners' block list or would this feature have a separate list so that both friends can manage the room between the two of them? Or would it be in the hands of the owner who has purchased the shared room token?

I personally feel that if a room is shared all aspects of that room should be shared as well so that there is equal communication between both owners. One of my concerns about this is keeping friendships in tact as was mentioned above by another imvu user. I suppose it would be how well both owners communicate and trust one another. I like the idea of this feature but I also have concerns about it as well.

I think I would also enjoy this feature more if I were able to share a room with a small group of three people instead of just between the two, it would better differentiate from the marriage package and then a group could have a room of their own. This may also be good for role play families who wish to be on the same level in a sense. I feel similar concerns would go into a group of three as would a pair of people sharing a room.

Have the same issue with room that was shared with me and made public. It as if I am only a glorified mod. I really have no control over the room.

I think Varsha said that the block list would be for the person who made the room public.
Example) You and your friend are sharing a room together and want to make it into a public room. You use one of your public room slots to make the room public, therefore your block list is going to be the one active for the room. I hope that helps. It would be nice if both parties list were in effect, though.
