Cool! This is good!

But 24 hours is not. They can not enjoy this fully until they have at least 3 days.

I thought this was for new accounts? The wierd thing was, my account got chosen for this but I'm not a new account o.O I didn't go on the client so didn't experience this VIP for one day. I just logged onto the website and the sign popped up on my screen telling me I was chosen to try VIP for one day. Got me confused until I saw this thread. Luckily nothing affected my creator status and name, since I bought my name a long time ago and am a grandfathered dev.

I dont think this would do a lot much of help. As a newbie, not many would pay attention to such tiny details. Only when a person gets used to the chat, they'd realise that there are other beneficiaries such as AP and VIP on IMVU, and might even think about having it. For the first time, they'd simply log in, go to chat rooms, do a bit of chit-chatting, and get offline not even knowing that they were granted VIP for a day. Confused

True.
I hope what they meant from "New" is something like a week new, or 3 days new not just-registered new.

From what I've seen so far. They're providing it to the newly joined users (on the first day of joining IMVU)

I think they are loosing too much money because the trial of a month for only 0.99 dollar is gone.

1 day is too short. The trial of 0.99 dollar was the one I tried first to see if this was really up my creek. Since I was new to this all, I really needed that month. After that, I just continued to be VIP.

One day and NOT have ALL the benefits of VIP is not working.. at least.. not properly.

They should bring back the trial of 0.99 for a month but leave the deving part out of it. This is to prevent the ufi devs.

I second that.

Needs to be longer. A day isn't long enough to get used to the perks and MISS them when the free trial is over. At that point they're still trying to figure out how to get dressed and navigate the client.

The trial period should be at least a week. After a day they're just going to get confused that something that worked yesterday doesn't work today.

I'd also wait until they've been on for a week before offering the VIP trial - that way they can actually see the difference. Day One it's just all too new to figure out what's basic and what's VIP.

That's my $1.50 on the topic.

This is a good point.

Its like in other industries. Give new customers some offers that can make them feel good on their starting days on imvu. 1 day would be enough to experience what vip is all about and to give them a reason to try it out.

It's a very good idea, too bad I didn't get to try the free trial offer and I'm a new IMVU customer and I've been debating whether or not to buy the VIP membership. The free trial would have at least help me make that decision, but too bad IMVU will be missing out on making money from me by deciding to only give the free trial to only SOME new customers. Will stick with the free credits for now till they decide to offer better deals on buying credits and VIP/AP memberships.

Well, guess you've made IMVU break their rule, and make an exception huh? Surprised

i dont like it because when people enter my room i think they might be legit people who actually play imvu to see that they just signed up but i just deal with it though its good for new people who just signed up.

my question is will more people just make new accounts each time there trail has ran out so they can keep the vip each day?

BradKillah I agree with you I believe that's why IMVU is only making it a one day trial. If it was say a week or so IMVU would have massive amounts of new accounts being created just so new users can have the benefits. So one day makes sense to me, I see many people don't believe that, maybe this will make more sense.
