|

| Can one of the moderators help me identify which section of the TOS addresses managed partner abuse? CS tells me that is what somebody "linked to me" did, and I'm trying to understand what that means and how it relates to me. Thanks in advance |

Auntiepjl gave a definition of 'managed partner abuse' HERE.
Like you, I am failing to understand how and why we should be held responsible for the fraudulent behaviour of others. _________________

they are not going to address this problem here anymore. they will come back on Monday and delete/lock this thread.
Signed,
"I lost 8 accounts to a bogus accusation"
QUOTE FROM ANOTHER ABUSED IMVU CUSTOMER:
FIRST. this is NOT the problem that was "solved" when IMVU appologized for the similar tragic injustice that happened earlier this year...this post is not about that specific event, but the problem itself which continues and obviously has not been dealt with...the inexcusable disabling of accounts continues to happen to innocent users. Locking the topic does not resolve the issue or provide answers for the victims. CS is not producing answers. The vague "associated with a ring of users which (insert undesirable activities here)" is not good enough. IMVU confessed it made terrible mistakes in May (remember the public apology)? Nobody knows what we are doing wrong but we are supposed to allow IMVU to delete thousands of dollars worth of inventory, years of hard work, our established reputations and livelyhoods? Are we expected to completely start over from scratch, and what prevents this from happening again? I have nowhere to turn, CS is not helping, now the forum mods want to lock the topic. You know what happens when you take everything away from a person...they have nothing to lose! WHY is this happening to users, what does IMVU hope to accomplish? |

| I never take these surveys despite the fact that imvu entices you to do so, I ended up being permanently banned because of the "partner offer abuse" scandal. What a load of old bullocks. No one has taken trouble to explain what on earth are we supposed to have done wrong to deserve this ghoulish treatment and all this injustice? Why would imvu abuse clients who have not done anything wrong because of highly unreliable tip from a certain "partner" who can be woefully inept technically and have generated a list of so-called "abusers" based on god knows what. |

The partner offers should not exist to start with. _________________

okay, when I asked CS to tell me where I violated the TOS they changed the subject to say I shared my credit card with somebody else. Is this not allowed? I have purchased/gifted many people credits and even VIP. is this against the rules? every purchase has been from IMVU or a preferred reseller. I have no complaints against me from any of them. Can one of the MODERATORS PLEASE request review by a supervisor? I requested well over a week ago and I keep getting responses from the same CS staff. I have repeatedly asked what in the TOS I violated, and I keep getting answers about what others "might have" done.

I will poke staff, but please know that if you are getting answers from staff it is not likely other staff will step in. We are only supposed to poke staff on tickets that have gone 10 days without a reply. Please continue to ask questions in your help ticket so that staff can help you understand. _________________ CandyApple or PoisonApple, Which would you choose? |

I was feeling rather unsafe here on IMVU. Now I'm feeling very very unsafe here on IMVU.
I stay the hell away of these so called 'fun offers'. |

That was my stance from the very beginning of these offers as it seems they work in a random fashion. _________________

I also stay away from the partner offers for this reason. It obviously did not help in my case, as you only have to be "linked to" somebody that "may have" abused the offer.
Celtic-thank you for poking CS. Hopefully I will get some answers. Do you or any of the Moderators have any opinion regarding my original post of this thread? That is, what part of the TOS addresses managed partner offers? And how does being "linked to" somebody violate that? Thanks again |

I must be doing something wrong. Despite the assistance of the Moderators all I get back from CS is the same cut and paste answer they give me on the previous response. I have repeatedly asked for supervisor review as have moderators on my behalf, but still the same staff person pasting the same answer-"they can provide no more information because it is final". I have specifically asked for what I violated in the TOS and have been repeatedly ignored. Can I ask for Varsha to review?
I have had no issues with my account 2.5 years and cannot believe I have been permanently disabled without an explanation. The only explanation I have received is "linked to" another that "may have" abused partner services. Not even "did" but "may have" LOL. given how horribly IMVU and partners admittedly falsely accused people in May, you would think they could at least try to convince us they are not doing it again.
Any advice? Thank you |
