Creator Welcome Room!

As you may be aware, IMVU's Community Management Team and, its forum moderators have been operating a Welcome Room for the past couple of months. The experience has been extremely positive for IMVU users - especially those that are quite new. They can simply drop by, ask their questions and either get answers or be directed to the proper channels for further assistance.

Our forum moderators with all their wealth of knowledge about IMVU have been instrumental to get the room going and available 24/7. We also could not have done this without the help of many, many wonderful volunteers who have graciously stopped by and helped us assist users with questions. Some of them are officially room moderators while others are drop-in helpers! We love and appreciate them all!

The project has been a huge success with visits to the room increasing every week. And now we have a separate room for creator related questions!

In the coming weeks, we plan to expand the project to include VIP and AP rooms for questions related to those programs.

The room rules for all the Welcome Rooms are simple:

--Ask your question and leave to make room for others
--No parking/hanging out
--No asking for gifts or credits
--GA content and conversations only
--Be polite toward all - including new "guest" users
--Keep your avatar a lag-free 2000 KB or less
--No music/voice boxes so we can focus on the helping

We are looking to expand the experience make the help available on a wider scope - either via more helpers/room moderators and/or via more such rooms.

For the Creator Welcome Room we are obviously looking for folks who are knowledgeable in the tools needed for creating content for IMVU and all the processes involved. We do not expect detailed step-by-step tutorials to be given in the room but more basic help, guidance and perhaps follow up conversations if the room helper chooses to do so.

What is expected of a Welcome Room helper?

--Follow the room rules (listed above)
--Do not give gifts or credits
--Do not try to sell your products or reseller services
--Be patient and helpful
--Leave the room if there are too many helpers so that spots are available for users seeking help
--Become a member of the invite-only room helper group to share and exchange information
--Have fun!

There are no set requirements as to when you should help. Drop by when you can. We know our community members like to help and welcome new users to IMVU and this is another way for you to do so.

Please note that this is a project being worked on with limited resources - community management team of myself and Katiemarie with forum moderators and volunteer helpers. We do not want to make this an official support center where specific hours are maintained and all questions are answered in a certain period of time. Any users we help is still more than before and that is our goal!
