It is rapidly getting to the point where Nothing in this Place surprises me any more. I'm certainly way past the point where I would Trust the IMVU Engineering Department to tell me what Today's Date Is.

2 Years ago it was known that the IMVU Databases were struggling with the Number of Products and Creators. All you had to do was run one of the Creator Reports to realise that thanks to a Flawed Database Design anything Selecting Data from it was Inefficient and Often Inaccurate. Did IMVU do anything about it, no they simply kept piling more and Data into the Database and Adding even more reports into the Mix.

Given the IMVU Engineers are Notorious for Getting things Wrong it is probably them Messing About in Areas we have been told will not get Changed unto a Date Yet to Be Determined that is Causing the Errors they will not Admit Exist. They were not supposed to be doing anything about the Tiers Update but somehow at least One of the Counters got Screwed Up by somebody who was not supposed to be working on the Tiers Update.

Will IMVU ever do anything About It - Don't hold your breath waiting, because it will need IMVU's Head of Engineering to realise that his "Fantastic Test Bench", which he probably helped to code, is Totally Unable to detect Badly Written Code. The other week I was sat in the IMVU Welcome Room watching 2 IMVU Engineers trying to find out what was wrong in some code the Test Bench said was Perfect. But the IMVU resident Comedian seems to think Other Software Creators, who want their products on the shelves earning money yesterday, would be interested in a Test Method that is used by a Company who tried to set a World Record for being in Beta.

As for that Claim that New Engineers can be productive on their 1st Day at IMVU - what a load of rubbish. Software Engineers need time to learn about the Systems they are writing for. The only Engineer that is going to be Productive on his 1st day for a New Employer are the kind who carry a Toolbox with Spanners, Screwdrivers, etc., in it, but even they would probably spend their 1st day on Induction Courses.

urg imvu needs to stop changing things because when they change one thing another thing messes up! MY PRODUCTS WONT STAY HIDDEN!!

....not only will they become unhidden but will go from underivable to derivable had this happen several times and no sooner i go fix it does same thing over ~

So besides fixing our products because of their red smear problem, we now have to go through the catalog to check the visibility of our products?

I think this ties in with changes
EVERY time IMVU goes through the catalog strange things happen
and by *Goes* I meen they run some kind of program through the catalog
Last I remember was the outfit bundlle thing that went know were ? Remember lots of funny screw ups ?
So the last bunches of updates had HIDDEN changes for future things in them LOTS OF THEM ?
I am betting all my 663 credits they are running through the catalog again with programs and if so we will see lots more red dot problems / items blured/ swicheroos in catalog and more in coming month ?

Has anyone else noticed the Catalog "corruptions" come about after a series of IMVU crashes and or maintenance?

You can almost watch the calendar and predict new problems to be listed in the forums after the systems crash / maintenance

IMVU Databases sound like a huge bubble that is going to burst :/

OMG who is keeping the backups?
