To make your own meshes you need one of the following 3D programs: Blender (free) SketchUp (some versions free) and 3DS Max ($3500). Lots of people use Blender on here and also SketchUp. Lots also use Max but it's expensive especially if you find after trying out meshing, that you don't like it. You might like to read up some of the threads in the 3D forum here and also look at the groups listings as there are groups there that will help beginners who are just learning meshing. _________________

| Sketchup is a really good and easy to learn tool... I've tried Blender (after using Sketchup) and things were a bit hard to manage and learn and all that... I feel like Blender has you do a bunch of unnecessary extra things while Sketchup is easier to learn with... especailly if youre first starting out.. Sketchup DEFINATELY. |

The price I quoted is for when you buy the program in the first place and also it's the US price as the price varies to where you live. Part of the price is the subs but you don't need to buy them or even renew it if you don't use it. the rest is the actual program which you have to pay for. The AUD price is aroune $6200 but about $500 is the subs. _________________

When it comes to Making "House Meshes" then SketchUp has to be the Tool for the Job. Unlike Autodesk's "one size fits all" offering SketchUp is a 3D Mesh Creating Program that was designed to be an "Architect's Tool".
Plus thanks to some innovative work by members of the IMVU-SketchUp Community is probably the only one of the 3 Contenders that has simple/automated Node Adding/Generating Abilities.
The best Group for SU is http://www.imvu.com/groups/group/SketchUP%2BGroup/ - where you will find Loads of Help and Support. _________________
