I couldnt find the appropriate thread, so ive noticed some items (hair) react differently to shading and light and what not.

how do i make this hair just solid blonde o.o
no dark pits or purple areas at all.

Untick vertex colours and self illuminated (unless you like hair that glows in the dark)

I prefer my hair self illuminated, that way it doesn't seem to change shades in certain rooms.

unchecking vertex will turn off the shadows for the most part. You may get other shadows later depending on the lighting in a room, but the one's you're showing will be gone.
