I'm going to keep saying that I'm new to IMVU RPing until I can answer these questions myself. I'm somewhat satisfied with my RP life right now. I go to a public room and play with random people... sometimes I get to interact with the same people and build some relationships, but often times the people aren't on for days at a time.
I think I've fleshed out a character enough to implant him in a permanent world. I've been keeping my eyes open for another group/room, but I've been having trouble finding what I like. It's also pretty hard since I don't have any friends on IMVU anymore.
How do you guys come across groups that you like? Do you use the group search function? Do you go to want ads? I need some advice or even some suggestions...
Thanks. |

Honestly, this is one of those 50/50 gambles.
I'll use the room search and use key words like:
Elven
Elf
Drow
Dark Elf
RP/roleplay/role-play/role play (<- without using the / and not all at once)
Serious
Strict
Heavy
Fantasy
^-- those just some examples.
Other than that I use the RP Want Ads here in the forums, RP Groups like Role-Playing Connections (owned by WynterFairy), the IMVU Role-Players Market (owned by YardanDuran)
As I mentioned earlier this is one of those 50/50 gambles (in my opinion anyways) all you can do is give it a try. Look through the places, look up the rooms, hop in and see if it is to your liking. You'll find something eventually. I know I have found places before and so have many of my friends. You just have to look and be patient. _________________ Where has all the Role-play gone? I miss it badly... |
