We're celebrating Circus Day (May 19th) on IMVU with a fun creator contest!

Come one, come all to the big top circus: the greatest show on IMVU! The circus has everything: clowns, acrobats, exotic animals, and so much more. The circus is also the perfect way to celebrate sunny weather as we move from spring into summer!

For this contest, we are challenging you to create an over the top circus room, complete with a circus tent, fun animations, and hopefully some interesting creatures. Your circus doesn't have to be conventional: we want to see where your creativity takes you!

This is an open derive contest, meaning that you can either make a brand new mesh that derives from an IMVUInc base product OR you can make a retexture and derive from any other product in the catalog. There is an incentive to create your own mesh in this contest: the first place product will be gifted to all users, and we need permission from all creators within the derivation chain to do so. If your product wins first place and does not receive permission from a creator in the derivation chain, it will not be gifted to users from IMVU

Details:

--Contest begins April 26 and ends May 15
--All submissions must be GA
--All submissions must be a room product; furniture items will not be accepted.
--Submission must be your own work; any entry with copyrighted art within products will be automatically disqualified
--All submissions must be submitted to the catalog April 26, 2012 or later
--Only one submission per person will be accepted
--First-place winners will demonstrate good meshes and high quality textures; try to push your creative limits!

Prizes

First place: 150,000 credits, promotion in our IMVU marketing channels, product will be gifted to all users as long as permission is granted

Second place: 100,000 credits

Up to 3 “runners up” will receive 75,000 credits

What about textures only?
I found a mesh I what to work with but I don't know if textures creators are allowed...

Are users going to get an empty room? or is someone else doing the furniture for it?

If users are getting an empty room, then maybe there's an opportunity for everyone to make furniture for it?. If we all used the same keyword like circuscontest, or even a special catalogue section, that could be linked to when the room is handed out... just an idea

4u: The room itself should have furniture items inside of it, built into the room, though it is not a requirement. We are not holding a contest or special category for furniture items. However, I'm more than happy to provide links to keyword searches in my winning entry forum post, and I will try to do so for our other IMVU messaging so everyone can reap the benefits. I don't believe we will be able to have a promotional area for this contest in the catalog, but I will suggest it to the team.

magpie: We are only accepting one creator per prize category. If you want to do something as a team, you can decide which account submits the entry and then split the prize.

If anyone that can wants to team up with me I am up for that, otherwise guess I will search for an existing mesh and try my best to make something awesome XD

a circus room whit animations and animals, will be very very very hard to make it fit under the KB limit.
