Just today a noob has been trolling me. All trolls are typically the same in general. 1) They annoy the poop out of you. 2) They won't shut up. So I was looking for the mute button as an alternative for telling them off. Well.. I couldn't find the mute button and ended up going plan B. <---Which worked btw. But the thing is I shouldn't have to bring out that mean side of me to get them to flick off. It's much easier for the both of us if I could just press a button and not have to read thier bs. All in favor for bringing the mute button back! _________________ ~Vis |

The problem reported at the time was that muted trolls could still bump people off spots, so when they realised they were muted they would start dot hopping and sending people bouncing off their seats. _________________

Naturally if the mute button had this sort of problem, they would take it out. After all the work to create a mute button, I would assume they aren't just going to scrap it, but fix the problem. I think that would be better, rather than letting a faulty product feature sit in the client.
Auntie, it could be my imagination, but I thought mute had been put back for one version, but was taken out again. If that was true, I would assume imvu is trying to fix it. Maybe you might know if they are planning on putting mute button back in a future release? _________________

It caused bumping and node stealing since it made the avatar vanish. It was also like a free VIP action block (since the muted avatar couldn't touch you since it was invisible to you) so I assume they're working on changing that. They'll probably bring it back but they'll have to change the way it makes avatars invisible and allows them to node steal before putting it back. _________________

| from my understanding (and i may be wrong) they are also trying to fix the unmute process there was no way for a person to be unmuted excepted by exiting and re-entering the room and that was one of the things they were planning on fixing i dont think it was brought back in a recent update unless it was one of those prerelease updates (i never take part in them) to the best of my knowledge imvu is still planning on bringing mute back its just a matter of when they decide to finish fixing it they need to hurry up however i was forced to update my version to the latest (non prerelease) and i hate going into rooms now because i cant mute the idiots that try to crash me |

Is it so hard for them to program this so that intentional bumping is terminated? _________________ ~Vis |

It took them 6 months to delete an image that got stuck as one of my group's pictures. Apparantly, they called in a crack team of IMVU engineer's and they couldn't fix it. They were trying to figure this out for 6 months. Then a clever staff member used the flagging tools to delete the group's image and it was fixed in under 30 seconds.

| I actually wouldn't mind having the Mute back. As an Rper mute is my best friend, sometimes, when you just have those OOC trolls who just want someone to antagonize, or You just have a complete and utter idiot. I think If Mute was back there'd be less issues between IMVU users, because now they have a way to "mute" the problem. |
