Nooooooo Please do not disable product submission. xD
Personally I'm not working on anything new that I would have to worry about the mcg issues. If you're that worried, try making some rooms, furniture, AP clothing or GA clothing that you have no doubts will cover everything.
I'm on a creative kick at the moment, and I'm sure many others are as well. I certainly don't want to have to stop and wait for this to get sorted. lol _________________

If SH gets hired by imvu, who will do this kind of thing for us? If that happens, he'll only post here once a month
The avi I use to test for minimum coverage is always the default female avi in create mode. That's the basic avi, it should be the standard for all tests, amirite? _________________

When people are finding the red perhaps we should also post which avi (exactly) we're wearing when the red occurs, the reason I'm suggesting this IS...
I just tested ALL of my female clothing in my personal catalog, when I tried them on wearing one avi (using the MCG pose by Mercuria) I would see red on several items, then I tried them on in the shop, wearing a different avi, the results were very different...
ie: the red was GONE??? This has me curious as to whether it's happening on ALL avi's or just certain ones?
idk, just thought I'd add this experience I had yesterday! =^.^= |
Lizzie...
I was supposed to have a professional conference call with staff regarding my concerns with the MCG skin and this exact concern.
This was September 2008.
NOW it is happening and being noticed.
I think I was treated extremely rude that day in September...and that is precisely why I have been sitting back laughing my butt off on this very serious issue. _________________

Chicka my friend, I know you've always been there trying to help the "powers that be" here, & from what I've seen over the many years I've been here is... You've never been respected or listened to by those "powers that be" no matter how hard you try or how much "proof" you have behind an issue, they just continue to brush you or Anyone with an ounce of intelligence to the side, it's always been that way & I don't see that changing EVER sadly!!! *hugs*
Why we continue to bang our heads against the brick wall here idk, call us crazy or stupid maybe, Hey, why not, IMPU already does anyways...

Quite so. There is no need to put product submission to a halt.
If this happens, and given the current state of affairs, we'll know when it starts... but certainly not when it will stop. _________________

Thank you. |
You could also try coming up with your own theories and testing them, since you guys have programmers as part of your staff and all.
We're merely posting our observations in an effort to get a problem recognized and fixed. None of us have any clue WHY this has happened, other than something in the client's code being changed.
The only other possibility is, this problem has always existed but never really noticed until now.
Ohwait.

You guys really aren't reading the thread.
We're not discussing changes made to the MGC skin texture.
We're talking about how the client displays textures on meshes incorrectly in some places.

YIPPY WOOOT WOOOT
mercy I have been posting here there everywere about this for EVER
Imvu staff old and new need training and need to use the client !
A imvu staffer who dosnt know the client cant be expected to work customer sevice right ?
A imvu engineer that programs all day cant be expected to understand red dots if he never derives a dress with 4 layers over the not talked about area ?
We get to comunicate with 3 maybe 4 staff what of the other 150 ?
This is silly *if* IMVU has a policy that staff cant use the chat cant derive and cant intereact with the customers that needs changing ?
It would not surprize me IMVU staff spend more time on second life than here ?
Train staff IMVU and then let them derive so they can understand the client as much as many posting here do !
---------------
I want to apoligize to katie (a very nice person) but I need to show something
Her total catalog is 19 items !
You the fellow in the big office let your employees make something !
Mesh something ! INTERACT !

That's a graphics card issue, that or the fact that Dnutt was so close to the wall with the camera, that it is clipped. that wall is made up of two polygons, the camera has a near and far clipping distance, anything outside of those will actually not show those polygons, which is why you can see inside things when you look at them from very close up. _________________
