So, here comes a bunch of ideas.
1) We're already being told by the rules that we aren't allowed to cover the important homepage links with coding or stickers, but many people don't read this. So why not make it impossible to cover them up?
One way would to do it would be merging these links somehow into iFrame or frameset like the top buttons have been done. Also, IMVU could disable the links and redirecting scripts that break the framesets on the same page within avatars.imvu.com.
If the page redirects somewhere with that attribute, the important links would stay put which gives the users more clue if they are lead on scamming pages, like it's happening right now. Also, the "report home page" link would be more easily accessible this way.
2) (continued from idea 1) Just make the links nice and compact, such as drop down menu which says:
v AvatarNameHere
--------------------
Chat in 3D
Send message
Add
Block
Name Change Log
Report home page
--------------------
3) IMVU could also warn of redirecting to a 3rd party site (such as DeviantArt's redirecting page which shows the link and says "be careful, out there be monsters"). _________________ Lord of the Rings group | Annie Lennox: Precious |

I like your ideas Elainiwen.
No. 1 especially. IMVU should make it impossible to put stickers over the links.
Stickers seem to move around, depending on the different browsers. So, even if you follow the rules, if you are using firefox and place the stickers well away from the links, someone else using IE, might see the stickers over the links.
Once again, IMVU blames the CUSTOMER for this. A while back, a well known dev got a warning and was told she was in danger of being disabled. She eventually found out it was because her sticker was over one of the links, however it was only covering the link in a browser she had never used, or would ever download.
It is encumbent on IMVU to make sure their standard links are visible at all times, not blame the customers. _________________

I've started to rethink the third idea. Maybe it would become annoying with people who use iFrames of their own... _________________ Lord of the Rings group | Annie Lennox: Precious |
