IMVU hasn't taught me to use Corel or 3DS Max. I did all that myself. What it did teach me was how to use these skill within IMVU in a way that money can be made.

Hm. What did I learn here? Lulz.

Uhhh... Well, I learned more about peoples' cultural differences, how colorful peoples' personalities are, how to be tolerant and accepting to everyone's personal interests and show others to tolerate mine, and how to look good in all shades of Pink.

Oh and how to waste time like a baws.

What I have seen here on imvu, shows me that it is little different than real life.

The people who say imvu isn't real, and therefore neither are the friends they make .. well .. those kinds of people are generally self absorbed in real life and don't make good friends. If you are callous of peoples feelings on the net, it's a sure bet you are in real life as well.

The people who are decent on here or the internet at large, are usually so in real life too.

IMVU has many fun things to do here, but the one big thing their company has left me with, is how NOT to treat its customers. I am so glad I work for a company that truly cares about giving their customers good service and a good product. A company that does not make its shortcomings the fault of the customer.

Virtual world economies are the wild west of the internet.

For every rating rule or law, there's a market to exploit it.

Labeling others is a favorite defense used by those who can't justify their actions or opinions.
