I have a question ( obviously). Hello I've been on imvu since 2009, but ever since I got a job I've been to busy going to work and seeing my family that I rarely have time to be on imvu. That being said I decided to give up my account to my younger sister who is only 14. How old do you have to be on imvu and can I change the age on here? ( I don't want my sister having a conversation with anyone who is over her age limit or disobeying the rules of imvu). By the way I heard that if you change your age on here you get banned for a couple of days or a month... Is this true? Thanks for the help!

You do get disabled as they change it.
I also heard you cannot give your account away to anyone either. [Including family members too, if I recall correctly.] Since it's against the ToS.

ABSOLUTELY - This so annoys me when people let other people use their accounts and is seriously a risk to minors -
Also I WANT the ability to have a setting on my PUBLIC Rooms that states Teens Only like in the Chat Availability cause I am so fed up with people over 18 coming in rooms and hittin on meh and using the LAME excuse Oh I entered my Birthday wrong or this is my Bro's account or what ever.
Best thing to do is just Block them >.<
But IMVU Should give room owner the ability to set Under 18's Only or Over 18's Only on their PUBLIC Rooms

The best thing to do is FLAG them. Help get rid of the problem. 
IMVU will suspend minors with adult accounts, making them provide proof of age so IMVU can set their account age correctly before giving it back (assuming the account wasn't transferred from someone else). If it's an adult lying about being a minor (potential pedophile!), then it's my understanding the account is permanently lost.

Well thanks for the help guys. I think I'll keep my account and get on imvu when I have the time. I also agree with you, Mikki. Older men always hit on me in chat rooms and can't take the hint that I'm not interested in them. But the best thing to do would be reporting them. At least that's what I do when they then start sexually harassing me and start saying dumb crap. It's very annoying but you've just got to learn to start ignoring these type of perverts it's very simple.

It is completely against IMVU's TOS to sell, give away, or otherwise transfer an account.
I am glad that you have decided to keep the account because if you gave it away IMVU would disable it.
