Ok, I got the chains gone, and the rings...but I only need the top tag part.
x . X How do I get rid of the bottom part of it?

ask the original mesher to help you.. i bet you he will be happy to help .
I was going to say the same way you deleted the other parts, but if you are asking is cos it did not work, maybe the mesh needs to be diferent and to change it only the original mesher can do it.
