Also I have taken this opportunity to make my friends smile with some lovely gifts, been able to gift some products made by friends, and have also received a lot of gifts myself. Plus I did some serious shopping myself (who cares if I do this today or on another so why the hell not make it serve another purpose as well). Even if they don't get the record, I'm happy, t was a good day for IMVU's economy in my opinion, which is good for us all. |
My sales were way up also, at least 120%, single biggest day on here, both 4u and club accounts. We knew IMVU was going to run this and some of us jumped in and supported, any gifting I did was a few days before hand, subtle product bumps before the mob started. I offered my pulse buddy's a buy 3 get one free deal. I had lots of new product releases this week, and I have been really active in my rooms over weekend, and I dumped any tokens I had into shoutouts.
I found a lot of those buying were established members buying multiple products, I'm guessing the cheap credits allowed them to go back and get things they had passed on before because of budget. I did not notice such huge increases in my clothing and accessory alts, but they were still up in sales.
My crystal ball says that in two weeks the credit value will go down for a few days, sell before or sell a week after. _________________

My sales counts were up on Friday and Saturday and dropped down on Sunday to regular levels. Also on Sunday there was a higher percentage of promo credits, the buyers must have bought the credits on sale and spent them all before Sunday and it reverted to predits. If that happened across the board, then it spoiled IMVUs attempts at an April 1 record. _________________

My credit income was like 3x higher but my sales were more like half...just sold more of a higher profit item than usual and less of other stuff. _________________

OK I thought hard about this - how would IMVU confirm 250,000 items sold then it struck me....
Cause I am a genius sometimes LOL
If i look in my product sales for the last item sold on the 31st March and then on my product sales for the first item sold on the 2nd April I should be able to get the 2 transaction ids
So this is what i got
Sale Transaction ID Date
463071435 2012-04-02 04:42:34
462469043 2012-03-31 20:36:10
subtracting the 2 gives a total of 602392 Sales
Ok so there is an extra 3 and half hours before and 4 and three quarter hours after the 1st of april - aproximately 8 hours - so in the 32 hour period of my timeline they sold 602392 products -
adjusting for the extra 8 hours this would be (602392 * 24 ) / 32 = 451794 products - I think i got the math right

Broke the previous record, just didn't reach the numbers they wanted. So technically, it was a success. _________________

Marilena, they did break their previous record, they just didn't reach the numbers they wanted or projected they would. So I'd say it was a success. Record broken. _________________

| Although the record was not as successful as Imvu had hoped, it still seemed to be a successful run on sales. |
