IMVU provides a service that we, their customers, use.

Now, as customers of a business, we have rights and if these rights are not upheld, we can do several things. We can sue IMVU. We can make an official complaint, in the form of a ticket. We can speak to a member of staff in the IMVU welcome room and we can post in the forums. We can also leave.

In 2007, thousands of people left in protest, because the powers that be changed the TOS and suddenly, a select group took it upon themselves to flag everything they possibly could. In response, IMVU had to change the TOS again very quickly, to stop even more people from leaving, and to stop IMVU from collapse.

We are the customers, we have power, we have a voice. Do not forget this. Without us, IMVU wouldn't exist.

If a department store acted like IMVU, it would go bust very quickly

This boycott will hurt Devs and resellers while almost certainly having zero impact on IMVU. (point of info, Topmodelz was not pulled because of the protests but because of the constant stream of UFI and AP display pics in a game most played by under 18s).

Call for a boycott in misc if you feel that strongly about it (but please try to avoid the company bashing which they do not allow in their own forums), but you can't call it a contest because it isn't one.
