Even though I am a creator I see no reason why I should attempt to help set this record for IMVU. This company does it's level best to mess up it's own client as often as possible and can't be bothered to respond to people's long standing issues. If they would fix the LONG standing reported issues (some that have been here since I joined) then I could see making an attempt to help them.
As for now.. well I see this as an attempt on their part to try and get more money into their pockets before the entire system falls down around their ears. _________________ ~Note to self... You are NOT allowed to kill stupid people~ |

Idk though if there is a really hot item that thousands of people decide to gift to their friends, is that not going to count after the first one? |
That is correct. Each item sold will be counted once no matter how many times it is purchased/gifted in that 24 hour period. _________________ Varsha - Sr. Manager Community Experience |

Maybe for the special day you could add a random products thread?
Or atleast make a page that picks a random product for you. _________________

To me this just looks like a way to make more people spend more real money on IMVU. _________________

I am a little confused right now @.@
Katie is saying, | Quote: | | Our goal is to have our community members buy or gift at least 250,000 unique virtual products from our IMVU catalog. |
But then if you look over at the IMVU Community Forum Guidelines, Varsha is saying, | Quote: | | All transactions are purely at the buyers' and sellers' personal risk. IMVU does not regulate, endorse or get involved in these activities. |
Am I wrong to think that, the part I put in bold is what this is all about?

Sure IMVU give me 10,000 REAL credits not promo...and I will gift people for you some "unique" products.
Otherwise....your asking me to take creds out of what I use to exchange for real money to pay bills. no thanks c: _________________ ~Just because you say it doesn't make it true ~

Ok so here's the thing, if you can afford it gift. And if you're a creator damn gift your own catty!!! Brilliant! My sales will be going up on the 1st as I have lots of friends/family with my catty stuff on thier wl.
Understandable not everyone can afford to participate in this idea but hey, lots can afford it. BTW, you can still participate by buying for yourself with promo credits. So happy shopping everyone! and Happy Birthday IMVU!!!

Yeah Agreed!!!! Its always about the IMVU bottom line.. For me as a reselling Dev.. This would be more out of my pocket than benefiting my bottom line.. So IMVU Your all about your bottom line.. I thinK I will be all about mine the 1st and NOT gift...... But Happy Birthday just the same!! Heres a idea how about a crappy virtual birthday cake on a table for you!!!

(QBL) | agreed as well. this is just a way for imvu to make up for lost money over the past year. i mean one day 250,000 items? that would mean and average of 500 credits people have to buy to take part in. so realy lets do the math. that would equil 125,000,000 credits to be sold to imvu making them around a million dollers in a day on the average? thats one hell of a nice b-day present for a company robbing us of are sales and acting like everything is fine. so please everyone, do support them in there greedy fundraiser so it gives them more money i can sue them for, for theft of product sales :0). me on the otherhand won't take part in this BS. _________________

Do items you buy for yourself and gift to others but then get banned by imvu count?
Because man, so many items are getting "this was misrated, sorry lol" ...even items i was WELL familiar with and weren't UFI in even the slightest way, shape or manner.
