You would need 19 tier points at the least for tier 7. 4000 would give you the 1st tier point in derived sales. between 8000-9000 would usually give you the 2nd tier point and between 12000-13000 would give you the 3rd tier point.

WHEN YOU SAY THOSE NUMBER means credits earned or products sold???

I have 89 in the mesh part on top .How many MORE is needed to get that one point..I am 1 little point from T7.....Thanks

I might be wrong, but I always presumed with tier 7 you need 3 points for all core stats areas.

Its a hard one to get, because its about how other people are selling your meshes.

Any that are in spare metrics (unused) aren't counted towards the tiers.
There's 5 unique metrics but only the best 3 of those get counted, the other 2 are unused.

To go up to a 7 you need to start getting points in derived.
Tier 6 is kinda like the top tier for texturers.

Thanks for answering this. I was just about to ask that question. The information wasn't clicking for me. >.< So only core and metrics we need to focus on...

Well you need to focus on the 4 main ones and then 3 of the others. Remember that the used and unused depends on which three are the best and can change which ones are used every month.

Because many people get a little confused over what is included in their tier score and what isn't, I took a screen shot of my Tier area and highlighted different areas and will explain what is what. I know a lot of people already know but there is often confusion especially when it comes to spare metrics.

The two pink circled areas are the time frame of this tier period (at the top) and me tier at the bottom.

The area with the red bracket is your Core metrics. These are the same for everyone and are the most important ones in the end to go up in the tier levels. There are four of them and two are about the type of sales you get and the other two are the types of credits that made the purchases. Direct sales are sales that are made by users of YOUR products directly. Derived sales are sales that are sales of items that have been DERIVED off of your mesh/item. This includes all sales off items that you have derived off of another person and have left derivable so that someone else can/has derived off of your version.
In the income area there are two different types. There are REAL credits which you will receive after the 14 day Pend period has past and then there are Promo Credit sales (or predits as most creators call them). In the case of a Predit sale, you the creator will receive a Dev Token in place of the predits that were used to purchase the item. IMVU does keep track of these predit sales and the predits are counted and put in the Value area of the Income promo credit area. Any points in these four areas are included in your tier score.

Next is the green bracketed area. These five metrics are the Unique metric though two of them will always appear in the blue circled area. These five metrics can change around at any time, depending on which of your five metrics in this area have the most points. So in my case, I have the Products Recently Submitted and Peer Review in my Spare metrics area because they have the least amount of points this tier update. This could change at any time if I happened to do more in those areas than in any one of the three that are in the Unique Metric area.

Lastly the Yellow bracketed area is the metrics that are included to come to the total of your tier points that will determine your tier level for this month. These include the four CORE metrics and the three UNIQUE metrics but NOT the two Spare metrics.

The metric Products in Catalogue does update as the month goes on but the rest of the metrics usually only update at the start of the month once IMVU staff have run the script that does all the comparison work of all creators.

Sometimes there are glitches in tier scores and so forth and if your tiers haven't updated by about the 7th of the month (excluding months where the month start on a weekend of there is a major public holiday in the area where IMVU is situated), then you need to file a help ticket to get them updated.

Hope this is making how tiers are done. But if you need some more clarification on anything just ask as there are many great creators who can help you.

I don't really mesh myself, I've made a few furniture items in Sketchup but that's it.

There's 3 programs you can use, Max, Blender, and Sketchup.

Max - Can make everything
Blender - Accessories, rooms and some people have had some luck with hair and clothes
Sketchup - Furniture and rooms

Max - $3500ish
Blender - free
Sketchup - free

It's not easy though. I've never used Max, but I have used Sketchup and I looked at Blender and was lost.
Sketchup is difficult at times and that's the easiest.
Go to google images and google 3ds max and blender and have a look at the interface to get an idea of what the programs are like before you think about downloading them.

There's a lot of tutorials for Blender and Max but I found with them all you really need to be experienced in the program before you can even follow the first few steps of the tutorial. Sketchup has a lot of better tutorials that you don't need to be that experienced for but you need patience.

You don't need to mesh to be Pro. Tiers 5-7 are Pro, and you can get to Tier 6 without having a single derivable. You just need good sales and good income.

This is not entirely true if you are using the freebie version of Sketchup you are not supposed to use it in any venture where you can profit from it. If you can profit from it's use you are supposed to buy it. It even states this in it's TOS.

Two things. The main one is that no one can tell you what you need to do to go up in tier levels without seeing where your points are right now. You could post a screen cap of your tier page (no bigger than 500x500), and people will be able to tell you from there.

The other thing is you shouldn't post in all caps in the forums as it's considered yelling and rude.
