I have 311 products in the catty and have 3 tier points for them so I 'Assume' it is 100 products for 1 point. is this correct?
My products recently submitted I have 50 and no points...if you submitted 102 and have 2 points then wouldn't it be 50 for a point? |
No it does not work like that - it is not divided equally - each level had its own number
It could be that level 3 was 310 and you just made ir, level 2 might have been 186, and level 1, 48 _________________

It doesn't work like that, it's not split into thirds, it just depends on what the rest of the developing community are doing.
I have 268 products in the catalog and 3 points, but someone could have 110 and have 0 points. _________________

You are not supposed to work the minimum to get a tier, you are supposed to work the hardest you can and compete with everyone else.
IMVU cannot possibly tell you what the tier level numbers are in advance, since it partly depends on how hard everyone works this month and partly depends how customers choose to spend their money.
I did better than expected last month, because customers spent the cheaper credits on March 31, rather than waiting for IMVUs promotion day of April 1. _________________

Look at the end date on your tier report - should be
2012-Jan-01 to 2012-Apr-01 |
Yes that's what it says on mine same dates but I have not been recently reviewed that I know of |

Having lots of products is not enough, I have an alt account with almost 300 and its level 2 since I made stuff that no one buys there. I made the mistake of making products I liked not what ppl would buy.
You only need 185 products and lots of credit sales and lots of promo sales to make level 5 and you don't even have to do PR or post in here. _________________

Your avy name gives you an added advantage as well, as it is the first thing to come up on the search. OT: On an added note, the first three items in hottest products for men are all on DMCA hold./OT
It troubles to see some of the crap people buy, perhaps derived from the same mesh I did, yet mine shall no sell and is a more detailed product.
Tiers is tossing the ball in to the air and where it lands NOBODY kens. _________________ |

LovesThunder I have well over a thousand products in my catalog I'm tier 3 and have been for 18months, one of my friends came straight into the tier level on a tier 2 then with in a fortnight she went to tier 3 and she had around 15 -20 items in her catalog, its not calculated on how many products we do if it was there would be no room in the catalog for us who derive because all the higher tier levels would be filling up the catalog. |

Now I am totally confused.... I read (in this forum, many have said it) that sales both direct and derived are what matters 'core metrics' so how does one with 20 products get to level 3? thousands of posts and PR? giving his or her products away??? I am too busy working on my products to have time for that. I understand how the higher tiers could fill up with high volume. but what I dont understand is how when I work hard to make Quality products complete with good catty pics and sometimes even videos to showcase my items, and cant seem to be able to make it pass level 2, where others that dont even take the time to make pics for their catty or even icons for that matter, can zoom passed me and even make pro? dont make much sense to me! but as I have said twice now I love Devvin and no matter my 'TIER' I will keep on keeping on! let it fall where it may!

As a rule of thumb, keep in mind that your tiers are based on more than that last month, it is based on 3 months I believe. It also depends on how your sales, etc compare to the other developers and although you may have submitted a lot of products or have a catalog stacked so high, your calculations are still compared to the general developing community.
And as this past month sales may have gone up, your sales may have been lower than others during the second months calculations for tiers or vice versa.
Don't get discouraged because the benefits of becoming Pro help with lower developing costs but once Pro, you can slip back to level 4 and below as well. |

Okay well i have got so sick and tired on waiting on going up a level, that i have now emailed IMVU about it.
I personally find it ridiculous that i am still tier 0, even though i now derive everyday. I have messaged IMVU and put my complaint in, even though i know fine well i will get a story on this is how the levels work, and i already know how they work as this forum has helped a lot.
With any luck i might go up at least one level the next time the tiers are done.
Will re post with the outcome of this. |
