I prefer gimp, because unless the photoshop was free I don't see a point in purchasing it just for imvu purposes.. _________________ Dp by me

I use photoshop for texture developing because it seems to be easier and better for actual creation. I use Gimp for my catalog icons, because the resizing seems to be quicker and easier.

| I use GIMP because I found it loads faster and does all the same things PS does. I actually have both but go to GIMP for everything. |

Personally I never used Photoshop. I mainly use Photofiltre, but I work almost only on rooms and furnitures, and photofiltre for me is more than enough. If I need particular effects then I use Gimp, which has more filters and possibilities than Photofiltre. _________________

i use GIMP, been using it since 06.
anything that can be done in ps can be done in GIMP, you just have to figure out how.
i still go to gimptalk.com for tutorials. _________________

I've been using Gimp for all of my textures. I find it quite easy to use and can quickly find substitutes for PS brushes, tools, etc. Now why dont i use PS? Well one i dont have the money. 2 my computer is an old 2003 windows xp version (its my dinosaur lol), 3 im waiting for my new computer. The transition from Gimp to PS will be somewhat bothersome but i can do it. _________________

I Prefer Photoshop , to me Gimp is confusing, but photoshop has confused me also.. but in a more elegant way lol. I have other programs like paint.net which i love cuz its just quick n scrappy and there are so many plugins for it which makes it invaluable for certain things. but 90% of my workload is done in Cs5, so much so that ive recently uninstalled gimp. <3 cs5:P _________________
