Another possibility would be to use the bare default avi all the time: everybody knows it and you don't need to hide anything. Shocked

Why should anyone have the right to look into my wardrobe? You are trying to bash open doors that are not yours. I have my outfit hidden for a reason, some of them are intimate privacy that i do not want to share with the public.

If someone asks nicely where i got one of my accessories, i may be so kind as of telling him/her. Don't expect anything else than a "no" if you go like "cn u tll me skrt plz? i wantz!!!!11", though.

If it aggravates you that someone doesn't want to tell you what stuff they got you should seek professional help, or at least use the search function of the catalog and put some effort into finding outfits.

Nah I don't agree with his idea...its better going into the catalog and finding it yourself..might find something else you might like too...

Everyone wants their individual look on imvu I have had many people want to copy me I dont want twins and triplets too..I mean if they ask me for my avatar or shoes or clothes I usually tend to share that...but when they ask for my skin my head..I hold back...there so many different products out there to make yourself unique.

Go out there and explore the catalog!!!!

Now here's a better idea: Why not give us (no, not just the privileged little rich folks who can AFFORD VIP...) the right to hide the contents of our rooms, too, just like the outfits? As stated before me, just because someone is too lame to come up with their own style, and has to be a t00l and copy everyone else, doesn't mean we, who can come up with our own unique style, like having our style stolen.

I know how you feel, the other day i asked someone what there shirt was called and they would not tell me and the outfit was hidden. They simply told me "I dont want anyone stealing my style" which i dont see how i would be stealing there stye if the only thing that i wanted was the shirt...not the entire outfit. But on the other hand they found the shirt first and its there choice if they want to hide the outfit or not...but it does suck xD

To every one who was complaining about their desire to not be copied.. please wake up?

We all shop from the same catalog, and the very fact that some items sell well means that many people are buying them - so that top or those shoes or those jeans you like so much.. hundreds, maybe thousands of other people have them too and wear them in the same public rooms that you do.

Developers often will include shoes, pants and top together as a whole outfit. Buy the whole outfit and i promise you that you will be dressing exactly like other people are.

I hide mai outfits in the list by default because often i have a mix of GA and AP things, but when people ask me about mai outfits, i am happy to tell them. It means more sales for the developers.
and if i like the clothes i am wearing well enough to be wearing them in public then why NOT pass on the link for it to some one who is only complimenting me on the clothes i am wearing?

No, it should not be a VIP option, no it should not be in any way forced on others to show their outfits unless they have the VIP.

I don't wear outfit sets. I don't care if someone else is wearing one or two items I'm wearing. If someone asks for the link to a dress or something I never hesitate to give it to them.

It's my combination of items that makes me ME. There's millions of items in the catalog, so it's not hard to come up with a unique look. I've had someone scour the catalog to imitate my own look, down to the nails. And then pranced around in it like it was her own. I was deeply disturbed by it, and still feel uncomfortable others will do the same. I spend most of my time wearing a poop suit now.

I would say... pretty often. I don't feel inspired anymore to put together new outfits. That extention of myself has been ripped off. I would just wear an invisible avatar, but I prefer to be offensive.
