Premium Names - No longer available -Update pg10&31

Effective immediately, IMVU users will not have access to the premium names purchase feature. Such an option has been removed from our website (used to be under the Shop menu).

Users can continue to purchase and use their name change tokens to change their current name to any available one.

The ability to check names without owning a name change token was nice.

I am sad to see that aspect of Premium Names removed.

I guess it is back to logging out and checking out names by the register button.

So... all those people that spent all that money to purchase a premium name change, gets pretty much screwed over in the end? Since now we can just purchase said names with a name token. That's really sad. =/ Is anything going to be done for those people? Like perhaps some type of royalty?

Now don't get me wrong,I love my name and I'm glad I have it.
I don't buy credits,I earn them.It took me 4-5 months to save up to get this name and now people again can buy those names with nc token.BS.
I'm pissed!Just because many people complained that they couldn't afford it.
You could earned the credits like I did!

Makes me dislike imvu even more now Rolling Eyes

Yep I did a mixture of buying, saving, and earning credits. I bought a premium name in June. If I would have known that 2 months later it would be gone and I could have bought a name for an NCT I would have waited in a heartbeat and spent my time and money on something else. Everyone who broke down and bought one generally did so because there was no other way of actually getting one. But now it's all fantastic again and we can spend $13 instead of $80+ on a name. Amazing.

So I freaking spent 100k credits to get my name and now other people have the privilege of getting the same thing for 30k in a reseller?! WTH IMVU! O_O

I freaking changed my name just a few days ago! I wasted what? 70k of credits I could have USED to buy something more useful?! This is so freaking unfair...

Don't get me wrong, I do love my name BUT the change is so unfair and unjust!

Before I get totally pissed off... Does this mean that people can now buy 3-5 letter names using the name change token? OR do they still need to come up with super long unique names? Can they buy names of the now inactive people? o.O Can someone just EXPLAIN everything that's going on!? O.o

When All My Friends Pulled Together To Buy My Name ( Which Is Disabled For Some Silly Reason ) I Could Have Waited Like, Three Months And Had It For 9.99? I Think You Should Put A Little Crown Next To Premium Names In The Chats, Give Us Some Sort Of Special Accesses, Or Atleast Compensate For All The Money You Guys Made Off Of Our Names, Lol.

It's just like products.
If something happens to a product and it's taken away, usually the purchasers are refunded.

I think it'd only be fair if everyone (who put their credits into a premium name) would get refunded. Doesn't that seem fair to you as well?
