Suggestions on How to raise funds to afford the trip! By OG

Here are some ideas you can do to afford the trip to MicroCon!

1) Plan a carpool with others in your area to save on travel expenses.

2) Have a "Get me to MicroCon" Product sale! (keep in mind the escrow delay.)

3) Have a real life yard sale.

4) Ask for sponsors from your local community. For example: Get local businesses to

contribute some funding in exchange for you bringing their advertising to the MicroCon! Like,

wear a T-shirt promoting their business, hand out brochures, flyers or business cards from

those businesses to the guests at the MicroCon.....

Some suggestions would be:

A) Real Estate Companies (people may want to move to your area one day!)

B) Printers who take orders from all over the country

C) Local manufacturers who make goods and products locally, who ship nationwide.
(candy makers, coffee roasters, gourmet goods, clothing....) Specialty stores...

D) Local entertainment: like attractions, clubs, annual festivals.....

5) Have a fundraiser! There are tons of fundraising companies that will give you the tools to

have a fundraiser! Just google "fundraisers" and you'll be amazed at how many are out there!

6) If you make crafts, have a craft sale!

Snowbirds are gone by then too, so openings shouldn't be a problem at hotels or RV lots. (if anyone would drive an RV down to stay. There's a ton of RV parks here.)
