For thoses that are having problems with the chat not typing when you load a room. If you click to whisper someone then hit the X to take it off you will be able to type without having to reboot the room. I discovered this by mistake and thought I'd pass it on to everyone.

I am positively absolutely tired of those little yellow pop up boxes of doom that appear telling me what I should put on in the dressing room and what to do. I have been on here long enough to know how to put on a top. It is really annoying

Although a quick peeping around in the wired found 3 different phone numbers for IMVU, one is disconnected, one is a recording that gives the 3rd number and that number is only for billing.
So the only way to contact them is to file a help ticket using a temporary log-in, or using your neu guest-account, explain in your help ticket that you are the owner of the other account and give the old password and explain what happened.. but when the password and email were changed, you should have still received a confirmation email in your original account??
Sadly that is really the best you can do officially. |

But WHY should we have to? Why not just FIX it imvu. Maybe with the furniture issue, and the music cutting in and out, and the constant going to default when your shopping, and having to go BACK to dress and change AGAIN. Room and furniture KBs not showing.. There are extra steps to get around MOST issues. But FIXING the issues would be SO much better. I had even talked one on one with IMVU about the furniture not loading in pvt chat. I THOUGHT it was getting handled. Even TOLD people they had a handle on it. But now I feel foolish to have said that. I guess they don't. |

| Heads up, when you have your customers testing your new releases.. a little communication about your service would be a good thing. Two days in a row I have had nothing but problems. First of all it took me ten minutes to even load my inventory and then it took me three minutes to even change the hair on my avatar. It would be nice if IMVU would share their server problems with paying customers. Maybe a head's up when you are doing some maintenance? I seem to remember that having been the case before. No, it is not my computer and yes I know how to install the client. I have 400+ friends on here and last night you only showed 124 as my friends.. so it is on YOUR end IMVU. Just a friendly heads up is all I am asking. Spare me the time of waiting around for your client to load and get itself together. I have other things I could be doing. THANK YOU. |

| I was working on my schoolwork and decided that I wanted to get on IMVU to take a lil break from that but I had some Icons that I wanted to change over so I cleared my cache and low and behold my avi is disappeared!!!! big shock right? The standing nodes in a public or private chatroom where you load into another person's avatar is just stupid I mean seriously what is the point was it an absolute necessity for IMVU to change this? I would like to see the proof stating that it was and show examples of this, but I can guarantee that I will ask but to no avail |

I had download latest version 460.0 and upgrade to 460.4 still facing submission error u'missing.
Perhaps imvu can figure out what is the problem and advise me what to do?
I'm using Vista 32 bit os.

It's the way the program is being updated. Every new version of IMVU is built by adding on top of the previous versions. If you were to dig down to the bottom you will find out that the very core is the same operating core that version 1 used. Naturally it wasn't written to handle any of the things being asked of it now, so a lot of extra code exists just to make those features work. Then when those codes conflict with each other a patch is written to smooth things out, although that can cause a conflict somewhere else.
The results are what we have here a massive buggy program. It takes some really good programmers to keep the system as stable as this one is. Yes, I'm saying this program is stable compared to what it should be in this condition. If you think it's buggy you've never seen a program that has been built up like this get really out of hand. The programmers are doing a remarkable job but the only way to fix it is a complete re-write. I don't see that happening short of a total crash. Oh I believe a total crash is inevitable at some point, but given the talent of these programmers probably not in the immediate future. Meanwhile until it does happen we have to suffer through this.

Private chatrooms and the furniture not showing up is still unresolved. The volume bar for the music is set far to loud on entering a room. The new searches for the rooms remembers what we searched and brings it up every time we log in we don't need this info every time. The clothes constantly reset to everything we don't use this tab it's far to big to go through and unmanageable. The room counter isn't showing the correct numbers in rooms and live updating i'm sat in a room that the client tells me has 2 people in it when theirs one and only been one in it all night.

All im seeing is problems on imvu recently and i have not even able to log on mine all day without it freezing and then the message saying Not Responding then it just crashes with a message saying oops imvu seems to have encountered a problem >_<

Thank you for this, Lord Darcy. I was wondering if this heavy client is what's causing my computer to crash. I'm talking complete crash. Monitor goes into power saving mode and if there's any music playing it's a freaked up. There is only one other program this happens with and that's been removed from my computer. But it's still happening only with imvu client, and ever since the 436.14 forced update.
