Working toward our goal of continuing to enhance the experience of our members, we have just released the latest version of IMVU’s 3D Chat Client – v459. Please download it here to check it out for yourself. The version includes feature enhancements to address popular requests by our customers as well as fixes to a few long-standing bugs.

Room Decoration Tools

We have heard your request to have an easy way to “undo” and “redo” changes made when you are decorating your rooms on IMVU. Well, now you have it! The room decorating tools now include Undo and Redo commands so that you can modify the rooms to your satisfaction efficiently.

Inventory management

IMVU members love to shop for their avatars and rooms from our virtual catalog of over 6 million items. Of course, this means their closets get pretty full, pretty quickly. Our customers have been asking for ways to manage their virtual item inventory better and find items quicker. We are working on making changes to the inventory tools and one of the initial improvements is available in the client version 459. You will now have a “Recently Added” inventory menu option in the menu. This menu option will show you the 25 most recently added items to your inventory – including gifts. This should make it easier for you to find your latest purchases and gifts.

In addition to these enhancements to existing features, we have resolved the bug related to moving and/or deleting furniture items while in your rooms. It was a hard one to reproduce and we appreciate our community’s help in giving us detailed information upon request. You can move, delete furniture items without any problems once you upgrade to the latest release.

We hope you enjoy these improvements and continue to enjoy yourselves dressing up, chatting, making friends, playing games and being creative on IMVU. We thoroughly appreciate your ongoing feedback and comments which helps us in making the experience better for all our members.

Ok, in client when I go into create mode, it tells me to update. I have been through all the updates available and still not found one that allows me to create. Please tell me which one we are suppose to update to?

Ok, I have to send out a BIG HUGE Kuddos to the tech team on the 459.6 Update! This is the best one I've seen to date! Great job guys/gals! However, all Creators MUST realize, you have to update to the 459.6 update to create from this point forward. I only have one suggestion, regarding the create mode. Can we please include an area to write a description of our product before submitting? It's rather a pain to have to go through the entire submitting process, then having to edit every product immediately so we can insert the description. I just hope and pray this won't mess with the perimeters of this update. lol Lord have mercy on our souls.

Again, thank you for all your hard work in creating an update that seems to be working pretty well so far. I can even move things around in create mode without the rubber band effect. I'll let you know if I encounter any further problems, as I get used to this client version and work with it more.

I've tried 459.6 and .8 and no inventory will load, shop mode won't load.
I rolled back to 457.16 and inventory loads immediately.

You just lost a creator if this doesn't get fixed. Its a memory hog, using nearly 65% of my CPU and 1.5 G of memory.....what did you do? I've never had a problem before with any upgrade, but this has just broken my back. I've cleared caches, reinstalled...the whole 9 yards....

sighs.....after readin so many bad reports on tha latest update...i jus dont no wut ta do....or which one ta upgrade....so reckon im not gonna be creating fer awhile.....last nite a few friends upgraded...In said tha rooms wudn stop flashing an it was annoying...plus one of my dev friends said there is 2 parts to create mode now..???...Can someone please tell me what is the second part in the create mode,...???

i carnt use create mode at all with these new updates oh well no more products being done until imvu get there act together

none of the new realeses let me work in create at all im fed up of asking toi get this sorted you carnt even add a texture before imvu crashes out well ill be leaveing and going on second life to create if this continues

since they started messing with imvu its been one glitch after another have they ever heard of if its not broken dont mess with it

anyway....so far so good....but really dats not sayin much....and yea i do like tha way yew can do all the submittin in the same mode....
